WARNING!!!

This vehicle will contribute to Global Warming!

Subaru heaters rock!

I'm thinking if I keep it on "the Extra Crispy setting", I should be able to keep a little warmer in the winter months.:madder:

I'm going to install some aluminum tonight:D

If things go well it will be in Moab on Hells Revenge (4+ trail) in three weeks. I have access to recreational property the rest of the time.

wagon wheels realy make it look nice! are those toyo tires? are you going to put the hatch plates back on it and drive it around on the street?

Thats quite a rig, what kinda tubing are you using? and what style tubing bender are you using? I have wanted to build something like that using all the junk laying around for a bit, maybe not that big, but same idea. very cool. post more pics soon!

Mike

OOOooOOoOooOooOoo, build me one, build me one!!!! just put some headlights, taillights brakelights and some turn signals on it plus the plates and you're good to go drivin on the street:brow:

Archemitis,

Pep Boys tires(couldn't find anymore OEM Bridgestones:mad: ). They are the most agressive M+S all season I could find. I'll run these and some 26X12X12 ATV tires depending on terrain.

McBrat, don't do weed!!!:headbang:

My Subaru Heater is GREAT (other than it sticks on Hot). This heater will give me heat within 2 blocks!:madder: Trooper will compete but takes 4 blocks! My Camry won't produce heat.

I love my Subaru Heater! (maybe I just got a good one)?

Mike,

Tubing is 1 1/2 tubing round and square there is some DOM where rocks are going to hit. The rig is not big! I can lift the back(now). The wheel base is around 80". The pictures don't show it but it's way shorter than the Hatch was. It's basicly a 4 seater 87 Hp ATV. :D ::burnout:

It got an aluminum floor last night,......tonight side panels!

Thanks all,

Glenn,

82 Hatch, transforming....now more done'er:temper:

01 Forester, still jealous.......:madder:

I think the difference we see in heaters is probably because most of the heaters here on the west coast are in near-new condition (we don't seem to have as much problem with radiators or heater cores as the rest of the country), and also due to our higher temp winters. Qman's right - our heaters up here are way too powerful. Your heaters cores could be clogged, and you also have a much colder winter. Even in the winter I have to keep my control in the middle, and the fan only up two notches.

GD

I've got new heater core, rad, etc.... and it's still not enough on high in the winter :) (well, at least for my wife... I've gone whole Iowa winters without a thermostat before (non soob))...

I know that in my old sube, my girlfriend was always cold and I was sweating. It was ridiculous. On long trips, I would be in a t shirt and she would have on three layers and be using my sweater for a blanket and still cold.

Once in a while she took the wheel and I got a little chilly. I finally realized that the passenger had a leak somewhere and cold air was blowing in from the outside at highway speed.

In defense of frigid females,

I have noticed that it dosen't matter, winter or summer, if your on the side of the car that is out of direct sun light your cooler and if your driving and the sun is on your side, it's hotter!

I prefer it when my wife is on the sunny side because then she's Hot!:brow: :brow: :brow:

Never mind,

Glenn,

82 Hatch with a good heater....:madder:

01 Forester, never used it yet....:cornfuzz:
