More snow fun

Featured Replies

Qman and I went up to the Index area and played in the snow today.

Got pretty deep before we turned around, here's a couple shots from when we pulled over on the way up.

Looks like a blast!

I'm curious, which rig does better in the snow?

I think Ken would agree that they're pretty evenly matched. On and off road.

I have better low end torque, so had an easier time at 3 grand in first, which is what we were forced to use towards where we turned back. Tires finally couldn't dig down and find dirt anymore.

Don't think I woulda made it that far with any of my lifted ea81s.

That 6 can't get away from the little 2.2. perfect power baby.

I'm pretty happy with the kumhos.

Looks like a fun day out for you two.. I Cheated and piled two kids and the wife into the neon, (ya ya give me break already!) and headed for Crystal mountain so the munchkins could play in the snow.. We made a sport of spotting subes.. I'd say 115 in 45 minutes isnt too shabby.

Yes, they do seem to be very evenly matched. The tires do work well but I also think Swampers would definitely be better. The tires did their jobs, don't get me wrong. There were a couple times that we literally had to claw our ways out of the snow and/or ruts. I'm sure the little stock Bronco II was wishing for our tires about the time they slid off the road.

One more thread like this and i may have to move out to Seattle, whether i get the job or not.
