IF I BUY A LIFT KIT FOR MY 89 XT WOULD I HAVE TO CHANGE ANYTHING ON MY CAR HELP ME?

Anyhoo, the EA82 series lift will fit the xt... they are the same

Only time you'll have to change anything (other than lifting your car), is when you put large tires on, then you have to start cutting.

No. Unless you want more power. If you get bigger tires it takes away from your gearing. Making it feel like you lost some power, but not much.

Even if it's an XT4 NA I wouldnt bother with a motor swap. EA82 MPFI will have plenty of power to move a lifted XT body and upto 30" tires.

XT turbos look sweet with a little lift. Here's one I had.

The 4 cylinder or the 4 cylinder turbo is an XT or an XT-Turbo respectively

 

The XT-6 has the 6 cylinder, a 2.7, basically the 4 cylinder with 2 extra cylinders.

Well you don't need a turbo, its only if you buy a turbo car. I don't think there are to many people running turbos in lifted subaru's most people are putting EJ engines in them.

yea, I only know of one guy running an EA82T on a lifted car...vanislru

 

and if you're talking about converting your car to turbo, it's alot more complicated, almost as complicated (as far as wiring is concerned) as an H6 swap....not to mention exhaust, oil, coolant lines, intake, etc.
