I'm not sure if it's something a rodent stashed in my muffler or if its the remains of my nuked emission reed valve?

 

This is from Mad Max, 84 GL. Max had not been started in several months.

Max is running poorly/rich since it nuked the emission valve thingy.

This exhaust crap it blew out looks like fiber glass or toasted grass?

Did I just cook a family of mice or did I nuke something on the car.

i would say it looks like grass. but i don't know what a emission reed valve looks like.

I'm going to go with Mickey's looking for a new home.

Looks like glass from a muffler - those small sausage shaped ones.

Looks like fiberglass packing, an item often used in cheap exhaust systems. How's your car sound? Loud?
