June 15, 200619 yr I wanna get a Justy, they're neat lil cars. Bump for the Justy. I bought two yesterday. One '90 with 4wd, RS style, hatchback two door. 67000 miles, white. Another '90, red one like the first except two wheel drive and a blown tranny. I'm back in a good Justy. Doug

June 15, 200619 yr dont get me wrong i like the car and even better its a SUBARU "BUT" i dont like the fact that subaru built a car that shares no related mechanical parts to the rest of the line , like every other large car company you cant just grab a axel from one and make it fit all the other models but with all other Subarus i can swap diffs , engines, trannys brakes ect.... from the 70s all the way to now i can still put a 2006 Engine out of a Baja in a 1983 wagon with small mods. but then there is the JUSTY its like the "red headed step child" not realy like the others but still a SUBARU , with its own set of problems and bennifits , good on gas , ECVT was costly to repare, still 4wd, 3cylinder , new engine type for subaru with it new types of problems . I gess the reason " I " dont realy have any love for the JUSTY is that im a mechanical person and when you change something im use to working with you dont want to change . Lastly i would rather have a justy then any other type of small car eg. Sprint , fire fly , HONDA
June 15, 200619 yr +1 to rguyver but justys rule just the same. I believe that they are the lightest production 4x4 available in the US. I would like to do a rwd swap on one, if it would fit. or maybe a motorcycle engine.

The engine im not sure about, but i think thats 100% subaru too. nipper

June 18, 200619 yr before 95 the justys were all Subaru, then the went to the suzuki plant. Matt In the US they stoped making the justy as we know it in the early 90's (94?). it was a unique US spec. June 18, 200619 yr Justys are all most people need out of a car. They have descent performance for a 3 cyl though, they're EXCEPTIONAL. Just the other night, i pulled into the fast lane here in B.C. Canada and started passing tons of other vehicles at 5000RPM doing 135KPH and out of no where another car (one of those muscle 1970's cars) pulls up and passes me going much faster. My Girlfriend says "Ha Ha he passed you!" and I looked at her with a straight face and said... "He may have passed me... But it cost him $2.00 to pass me. I'll be home before I spend $2.00 whole dollars in gas!!!" BC Rally Champs have used the 92 Justy for placing quite highly in standings.. These things are hard to beat on Ice with studded tires and 4wd locked in. BC RALLY 2002: BC RALLY 2004: Justys love Rally Racing... Especially against easy competition like this photo Shows:

June 23, 200619 yr Just take out the frount drive shafts I was talking about some sort of engine with potential! I nearly put a note on a 91 justy asking if they would sell the other day, but didnt. I see plenty of them around but they are never for sale.
July 11, 200619 yr Wow, on a whim, (after my 85 sooby wagon overheated and died) I bought two justy's (from the same owner) to save on gas. Thanks for helping me realize the value in this decision. One is a 90 w/76k (2wd 5spd), the other, an 89 w/120k (4wd 5spd w/webber carb). The 89 is white with the two black stripes on the front hood, giving it a sporty look. They both run, the 90 is idling too high, over 2000 rpm. the owner just started it up a couple days ago, and it just started doing this all of a sudden. Anyone have an idea why this would be happening? thanks, everyone, for all your justy encouragement!

July 30, 200619 yr This is awesome! I love the Justy and always have. I have known Subarus since birth as my dad used to work on them. My mom had a red '74 4WD wagon and from that car on we probably had over 500 different Subies. I had pics of me working on them when I was a teeny kid. My first car was an '88 RX. I currently drive an '01 Impreza coupe. My friends call me the Subaru Whore... Haha.. I have been searching for a Justy for so long. A friend of my dad's bought an '88 4WD 2dr 5spd when I was a kid and I would always ask him for rides in it. It was my favourite Suby because it was teeny, a blast, and still 4WD!! Anyway I may have found one, if so I will post pics if I get it. I hope so - I drove it and even though it has a lot of problems, it made me laugh and chuckle the whole time - it's so awesome...

August 11, 200619 yr Wooo! Got the Justy I wanted and just finished a few maintenance items. It only had 50k miles, but the girl that owned it didn't really maintain it for the last year. A thermostat, cap, rotor, oil change and plugs has woken it up. Such a fun little car! Major stokage... Awesome little city car. Cheers!
