The switch has not gotten me, due solely to the fact I had read about it on this forum. It is awfully easy to turn it on by mistake, especially when cleaning the dash and sterring wheel/column. I was trying out all the switches to see what they did (unless they were marked with universal icons, or words. In that case I knew what they did. . .) and discovered the behaviour of this switch (my car did not come with a manual).
