November 19, 200619 yr Well i finally got around to taking some pictures. Heres my RX iv been asking questions about and fixing. Looks pretty good for 260 thousdand miles! Rebuilt motor with 30k on it, new CV joints, New rear driveline, power everything works. I got it for 100$ because it needed timing belts, but it turned out it needed more. It does have rust, but nothing super serious yet. So far im really liking as far as driving. November 20, 200619 yr what the heck i thought rx's were only availble in black and white? shows what you know Jeff:-p The RX coupes (not the sedans) only came in black and white. The RX sedans however, in '85 and '86 could come in a wide variety of colors. I believe the RX sedans after '87.5 were all white but I could be mistaken.

November 20, 200619 yr I was also unaware that they came in colors other than white and black, but either way, the red suits it, it looks real nice.

November 20, 200619 yr Very nice shape. Congratulations--you stole it. As for those seats, no. They also came in '85-6 GL-10s and '85 Turbo Traction sedans and wagons. The vinyl side bolsters and upholstery are unique to the RXes in '85/6 though (unless that's what you were asking). Some also came with the "checkerboard" style seats Take care, drive safely, and she'll run another quarter million for you.

November 20, 200619 yr Author Hey thanks, The reason i ask about the seat is i desperatly need a drivers seat. this ones terrible, its broke down and its got some bar in the beck that is poking my back. Its very uncomfortable right now.

November 20, 200619 yr Author Oh Omak, its in central Washington, Its ao bout 2 1/2 hours east of spokane, 100 miles north of wenatchee. If that guys got a set of those seats in good condition ill buy the whole set and go get it
November 22, 200619 yr Author also wondering, is the plastic color RX specific also? thats almost black color? I REALLY need a new console that has the Dual range instructions thing, around the shifter, mine is all over the place, the clips are busted on it, and im getting REALLY pissed at it.
November 22, 200619 yr HTH. I have that black in a '86 wagon, so I wouldn't think it's RX specific. At this point you can just remove the upper shift boot and console so it won't be flopping around crazy like. It is annoying when that happens. Why does that happen? When mine have done it, it means that the shifter bushings are worn out.
