December 28, 200619 yr I got up early this morning and decided to run to the local junkyard in hopes of finding a wind deflector for the passenger side t-top for the brat. Luckily the dude that runs the place has been friends with the family for years. I asked him if he cared if I looked around he said to me:"You know where all the subarus are better than I do, go have fun". Not being able to say "no" to this I decided to set out with my ratchet set and girlfriend's digital camera. Here is the only BRAT they have in the junkyard, sad to say its seen better days. I grabbed the piece I needed and noticed that it had something I had only seen on here. I considered grabbing it and the switch and selling it on here but would wait till a later date. I headed back down and asked the guy how much do I owe him for the piece, "I don't know what that is so just take it with ya". The response everyone loves to hear. There is a Subaru dealership about ten minutes from there so I decided to take GD's advice and try and purchase some plastic clips for the brat to hold my center caps on. $11.24 a piece talked me out of it for a while. I considered that since I was there I would have my picture made with an STi. Talking to the salesman a little more, I managed to talk him into letting me drive that black wrx as seen on the left side in the above picture. First time driving a turbocharged car and it made me believe in a higher power:banana:. Wrapped things up and decided to head back home on the way my brat hit 232K. A great sight anyday of the week. Hope you all enjoyed my narrative of subaru adventures in eastern Tennessee.

December 28, 200619 yr Author I have NEVER seen a fuel gage that full!! :slobber:....or an ea-81 dash that clean It would be hard for me to afford an STi while going to college, I plan on purchasing one when I get out. I have yet to work out some issues on my fuel gauge. I think theres a ground somewhere but havent got the chance to check things out. I appreciate you guys complimenting on my gauge cluster, I take great pride in my brat, that thing is my baby. Here are some more pics of the adventure today. I seen this in the junkyard as well as a better pic of the scavenger brat.

December 29, 200619 yr Hope you all enjoyed my narrative of subaru adventures in eastern Tennessee. I did indeed. it's not often Subaru adventures occur in this part of the country. and yes, that is a nice looking console. Does the rest of the Brat look that good? I'd love to have a Brat but I realized the first time I sat in one I was too tall. maybe I can find a T-top..

Everyone in the southeast was contacting the guy trying to purchase it. Heres some pictures of it. The tailgate is the worst part on it, thank goodness. This one is my favorite even though it was taken with a cell phone camera.
