April 21, 200718 yr This is the official thread of the "My coupe is running" thread. Like it says, she runs, not totally driveable yet but it will be in a few more hours to working on it. Currently its running a stock SPFI I got from DrKrazy to replace the blown SPFI engine it had. I also swapped the FWD 3AT to a RX FT4WD d/r 5-speed, stage 2 clutch, full 5-lug setup and a bunch of other things. I still have to swap out the pedal boxes and tidy up the interior but I also swapped the instrument cluster for one from an RX as well. Also got my nifty ebay melon shooter on it as well. Gotta replace the radiator with my brand new 2 core with dual electric fans and some small items like that but it'll make it to Washington from Wyoming no problem.
April 22, 200718 yr good my car blew its intake manifold gasket again. that would be the 4th time its happened, and i use a real torque wrench when i put it in.

After I get it driving, I'm going to make a few laps around town with it, give it an oil change, do it again and change the oil right before my epic journey to Washington. Yes Andy, a melon shooter. Also known as a fart cannon or other names of that nature. I put it on my 4wd exhaust cause I had to swap them for the 4wd conversion so I left it on. It actually sounds pretty mellow for being a "Honda" accessory:-p

April 22, 200718 yr Get it fully together and driving Russ...gotta get down here for at least one more meet before you take off back to PNW. Glad to hear that engine did ya good and keeping it stock for the long haul will keep ya safe and solid .

All I gotta do is remind Jeff about the tranny for his SVX and how I helped him out with it, both finacially and physically... Keith, that engine puuuuurs like a kitten. I had a brand new OEM oilpump and some newer timing belts and got it all put together Friday night, then today, I finished up a few little things I didn't have time to get finished the night before. I still need to put a timing light on it to get it where it should be but the engine is done minus an oil change before I leave. I still got a few small items to take care of but a friend of mine is currently in need to get some stuff done on his '91 K1500 before he moves back to Cali. He decided to break his leg while riding his dirtbike so he's a little immobile... So my car might have to take a break for a couple days since he's leaving on Tuesday but after that, its full steam ahead... again:rolleyes:
April 22, 200718 yr Hey, I made it from NH to WY in a car in much worse shape than this coupe sounds like, so I think you'll be fine. It's a pity I won't see it when I drive out to WY again this summer, but it sounds like a nice coupe. Always have had a soft spot for those...

There's still one in a yard here, exactly like mine was FWD 3AT and he wants $300 IIRC.... Maroon with a brown interior I think... Ace Salvage in south Laramie, just south of the interstate.

I posted them all right:-p Got more work done on the coupe today. Got the dash back together and got my pedal box in and clutch cable adjusted. Now I gotta make sure everything is nice and tight underneath, get some new exhaust gaskets and finish up some suspension/brake/tire/alignment work.
