i wonder if any water got inside :confused: Surprised it died as well. engine air box as above the water, all seals are new, don't see why thye are stopped there.

when they were moving water would have been going into the hood, into the intake, and into all the breather hoses on the driveline. Not to mention in the car it's up to the seat bottoms at least.

Chances are he put in a Cold Air Intake with the actual intake behind the fender well (below water level) and the WRX hoovered up the water and killed the engine. D'oh!!!
