July 25, 200718 yr i think my car has a blank for the legacy style vertical cup holder. now i admit i've never seen a cup holder one of these cars but still...i have a blank beside the radio....unless its for something else?

July 25, 200718 yr that space next to the radio is where the trip computer controls go in the GL-10 model, like so.. except, this is an aftermarket stereo install pod, WITH a cupholder that I retrofitted, with much much strange fabrication work needing doing using brackets out of another unidentified vehicle. The cupholder, and the metal ears that I used to integrate the stereo and cupholder into one unit, came from one car.. the brackets needed EXTENSIVE tricky modification, and that assembly rested on a bottom support that screwed into the backside of the faceplate, as well as hanging on by one top screw.

July 25, 200718 yr And there's no good place to add one!! :-\ Yes there is. Go to WalMart. Buy a "Spillmaster Euro Junior" for about $4. Remove the coin tray below the parking brake handle. Mount the cupholder to the tray by drilling a hole in the tray and using a locknut and bolt. Replace the tray. Done. The spillmaster is adjustable for cup size. Mine has worked fine for years.

I never use the one's in my parents 99 Blazer! I guess i never drink when i'm being shoferd around Hahaha!! I can't wait to go for my Licence tests!! July 25, 200718 yr For my brat..... this "back hills of New York" solution worked well. A standard "cupholder" plus a piece of steel that used to hang a stereo deck.
