dariusbd
The headlights on my 1996 Outback have become quite foggy and am looking for a way to clean them so that I will be able to see better while driving in the dark. Any suggestions? Thanks.

edrach
A high quality plastic polish, a soft cloth, and about 15 to 20 minutes work on each headlight.

Gnuman
Mainly because the cheap white toothpaste is a very fine abrasive. It is like edible plastic polish. . . Well anything polish actually, but harder materials will take a lot longer than the plastic used in the headlights.

nipper
Toothpaste. Ok who wants to do my headlights. I can get my cleaned, but it only lasts a few months. I have tired everything. Lets just say polishing is not my forte. nipper
Suzam
Any after treatment? Like a Clearcoat? Or Floss? Or are you good to go after application?
x_25
Just a quick brush with a cotton ball, and don't forget to rinse.
Suzam
I used wet 400 grit sand paper on one set then sprayed them LIGHTLY with clear acryilic spray. That lasted almost 3 years before I noticed a slight peal of the acrylic.

fishy
toothpaste works just fine.. Seconded and thirded. I've used toothpaste on my subaru and my honda. My only downfall was not finishing the job right (by clearcoating) so now I have to do it again sometime soon.
86ruguy
What are you guys and gals using to clearcoat after cleaning. I have done the lights on both of my Legacy's twice now and it just keeps coming back.
