What to do with an EA71?

Featured Replies

Hey, someone recently gave me a couple of ea71s, one that is supposedly a good runner, but it' been sitting for at least 4 years.

What should I do with it? Generator? Chipper? Hovercraft?

Already got an EA82t with spun sleeves for that. It's all polished and ready for a glass top:grin:

No seriously. the one engine is complete, clean, and looks way to nice to tear down for scrap.

Ill could use the water crossover pipe and crank pulley off of one that isnt in good shape :-p

 send them to me

they are great little engines that do :burnout:

I could use both of them, and extras

If you decide to part one out, I'll take the intake manifold and vacuum control valve. :)

I'll keep all of you in mind if I start parting out.

There are still plenty of cars that use that engine on the road, that either need an engine, or will need one in the future. Hang on to it....don't part a perfectly good engine for some "simple" part that can be found easily elsewhere.

If you want to sell it, try craigslist or ebay. Our board does not have alot of big spenders!

Yeah you never know when you might need one. Be like me have 3 of them sitting in your garage! And one of those is a rebuilt one I picked up for $75 here on the board!

The 1300 and 1600 should NEVER be wasted. Log splitter, toothpick maker,whatever....but melting them down is a crying shame.

if you decide to sell the good one id like to have a spair for my 80.

thanks Rob.
