January 28, 200818 yr Anyone know where i could nab a chrome bezel? It looks awesome..kinda remenicent of 70s Trans Ams...if u squint really REALLY hard. I think it looks cool too... My thoughts would be to find some sort of chrome labeling stuff, like to stuff we used to cover our school books with, then carefully take the dash apart and make a template. Once you have done that you can sell them on USMB

January 28, 200818 yr So on the US models, is there no way to select recirc or fresh air for the heater system? I have never seen a car without this......
January 28, 200818 yr Author So on the US models, is there no way to select recirc or fresh air for the heater system?I have never seen a car without this...... Correct! Just a Subaru badge in the U.S.
January 28, 200818 yr Thankyou for driving your subaru for fresh air, press one for recirculated air, press two for an operator, press O nipper Its been updated For english Press 1 ..........And so forth..
January 29, 200818 yr Correct! Just a Subaru badge in the U.S. Huh. Wonder why they did that. Where is the button to turn air conditioning on/off on yours? It is also on that panel on our ones.
January 29, 200818 yr Author Huh. Wonder why they did that. Where is the button to turn air conditioning on/off on yours? It is also on that panel on our ones. "A/C Circ Max" is all the way to the left on our slider in the last picture. To the right of that is "A/C" then "Bi-level" then "heat" and on the far right is "defrost". Ross, do you have any close up pictures of your HVAC stuff?
January 29, 200818 yr Ross, do you have any close up pictures of your HVAC stuff? No, but I'll try remember to take some tonight for you....
January 29, 200818 yr did you just want the controls or the heater box etc? here are teh controls on mine anyway. This is the same for all the soobs I have seen, except some don't have teh A/C button. No idea what button, if any, would have gone in the space beside teh A/C button..... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=19022&cat=500
January 29, 200818 yr I sure do like the idea of having a button for AC instead of it activating in the far left like ours do.
January 29, 200818 yr That is pretty cool setup for the climate controls. Holy crap! An analog clock, I got digital son. Are the idiot lights on the dash the same as what we got, would like to see some more pics.
January 29, 200818 yr Instrument Panel: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=19024&size=big&cat=500
January 29, 200818 yr Holy crap, a speedometer redline. Yep, it starts dinging at you above that, then it self destructs instantly killing all occupants along with any unfortunate tail-gaters.
January 30, 200818 yr Added some pics but yet to find details in my manual regarding the controls Will look in some other books tomorrow...
January 30, 200818 yr Holy crap, a speedometer redline. And note, it's a KM/Hr speedo 100 KM/hr = 62 MPH Zoom Zoom -> BOOM
January 30, 200818 yr Author Added some pics but yet to find details in my manual regarding the controls Will look in some other books tomorrow... I see you have a Digi-Trash as well. Since we're on the subject of compairing cars, lets see the digi-dash the Southern Hemisphere received.
January 31, 200818 yr Mine looks the same... just the trip computer on the left instead. We had both analogue and digital dashes here in Oz and like you said, Digi Crap they are just as useless down under and most Subi owners opt to change to analogue.
May 8, 200817 yr Author I'd still like to get my hands on one of these set-ups. Headlight washers and rear seat shoulder belts too. Can anyone help me?
