Anyways how should I have it mounted (my cat is gone) should it be the last part of the exhaust or somewhere in between and then continue running the system to the rear of the car? I want a deep tone and I def want it to crackle when I let off the gas

Put it at the end of your exaust. I just had one put on my 1990 Loyale and the cat hacked off. Sounds awesome! There are pics of how its mounted on car domain, look for subie3366.:cool:

Can you post a video or summin? Does it need a small tip like it is in those pics or can the end of the cherry bomb itself be the tip? How does it sound, does it crackle allot?

when i was growing up, i think that they got "reversed" for more crackle.

I drove mine around without any muffler at all for a while...until I got pulled over for it and got a $54 ticket

 

I mounted it so the tip goes right where the end of the tailpipe went, looks stock, sounds good

1. Cut a hole in your hood.

 

2. Fabricate custom header.

 

3. Cherry Bomb pokes through hole in hood, like a diesel stack.

The Cherry Bomb on my hatch is in the center, I have another26in or so of pipe the rear. Its a little quieter than having it at the end.

chop out a section of the midpipe after the cat and put it there. take the leftoer length op pipe and replace the muffler with it.

 

this works best, with what i have found out making random exhausts with cherry bombs

Took it to the shop this morning. Had them patch up the wholes from the previous owners cat deletion. Installed the cherry about 1.5 feet from the rear of tha car and continued it with 2" pipe. Sounds freakin great! Cant tell at idle but when you lay into the throttle it comes alive. Would a cone filter on the MAF make it sound better also? I have done this on other cars I ask because its subaru lol not because im retarded

Check out page 6 of my work progress page. I just had a new exhaust installed from the Y-pipe back. Some pics in here showing where I installed the cat and the cherry bomb. Keep in mind I went with a short cherry bomb. A longer one is possible but will need to go immediately after the cat. This configuration sounds pretty good. All the new pipe is 2" and the cat thats on it has been gutted.
