beware to do NOT order from them, i ordered apart from them 3 weeks ago, and it has not arrived , called .all i got was voice mail, emailed them ,nothing, the thing is i ordered for a friend , which has no pc, and they would not take a order over the phone, , called visa and returned my money, -------------------- will not :mad:ever order again from them

probably an error, i'm sure they weren't trying to hose you. of course that doesn't make you feel any better when you're waiting for a part for 3 weeks!

i'm fairly certain i've had mix-ups with just about every Subaru parts dealer....including Subarugenuineparts. it was really annoying but i understand things happen, they eventually came through, and i'll order from them again.

these are low cost OEM suppliers. they're making less money than dealers and have a lot of work to do. answering emails, many of which never buy stuff (i know how annoying it is to work for something that has zero return), dealing with shipping, processing online orders, etc.

I've had very good experience with them on several ocassions....Ken and John were always very helpful. Hopefully it was just a fluke.

Last time I was waiting for my order and the head gaskets were not in stock...I really needed them for the upcoming weekend when I was going to work on my car...they were willing to split the UPS Red shipping costs with me. So I have been very pleased

For what it's worth, I too had a good experience with them. They sent the wrong part and took my word for it that they had and sent the correct part out on faith that I would send the incorrect item back.

Sorry to hear it went south for you.

yes i am sure it was, but would not return calls, or email, and maybe they were busy and forgot

Now I understand why Auburn Subaru (now MikeScarf Subaru) is no longer associated with them. I really never liked their website; too difficult and time consuming to navigate if you have a number of unusual parts to order. I just call Jason in parts at 1-866-528-5282 and place my order. I've never had any problem with getting parts on time from him.

Jamie at genuinesubaruparts is also an excellent resource.

That's a surprise. I had a great experience with Jason at 1st Subaru (toll free number). He sent me a Subaru alternator right away after my POS Autozone rebuild died after about a month or two. The Subaru rebuilt alternator is working out great. Saved a ton $$$.

personally I always find the lowest online price from these sites and take it in to my dealer parts department and ask them to match it

95% of the time they can

I've never ordered online from them....didn't like the website much. I've just called the parts department at Mike Scarff Subaru and talked to Jason. Great service every time.

Sorry to hear you got burned on that one.

Jason D used to work at 1st subaru (Auburn Subaru) but he now works at Mike Scarff Subaru. Jason is excellent, and I tip my hat to him.

He must have left when things were headed downhill, and so those that used to order from 1stsubaru, need to change there ordering if they want the same service we came to expect. Give Jason a call at Mike Scarff
