EA81T= No start

OK, I checked TDC on the crank pully and it is spot on. The car is getting spark. Not sure about fuel but I will check today. the engine will crank, but not catch. new plugs, wires, coil, fuel filter. Whats wrong?!?!?

when was the last time it did turn over?

check your valves... and of course the heads, the gaskets, and your fuel would be first off.

If you've got spark, than at least the driver's side timing belt is still attached. I'd look at fuel system.

When I had engine out of car, I got coil wires messed-up. The car would crank but the pulser wire for injectors has to be on correct coil terminal. It took many hours to diagnose, cause I was getting spark & fuel. Snotrocket, ea81t is pushrod engine, no tbelts.

My car did the same thing when i took all the plug wires off and replaced them to factory settings. Apparently my disty was 180* off. And! Once I did wonder why the subaru wasn't starting, I thought the gas gauge didn't work. It was totally out of gas.

Hmm. I posted twice today with blaringly obvious mistakes. Time to wake up.

Last time it started was about a month ago, then it started having these problems, so I started working on it. It has plenty of gas in the tank. Ill see if the disty is off at all, but I dont think it is.
