Recommended Posts

diddo, but i also use pensoil because i get them for free since i also get free oil changes, and everything else like coolant system change, fluid change and in thing, rearend, tranny, etc since i work at Jiffy Lube in Redmond.

LOL, Jiffy Lube Crew, Holla! Puyallup South Jiffy Lube here. We dont get paid enough do we?

Anyways, I use Napa Gold Filters, and throw a couple Hard Drive magnets on the end of it, works pretty good, I guess.

Dude...the Penz filters are the same as Fram. Carboard and Glue! Big no no...

I use NAPA Golds. I have a list of the bigger filters if you want...the BIGGEST we have avalibe (we, yes, I work for them) is the 1459...but that has a by pass valve in it. THe biggest with out is the 1647.

Ive used Fram filters for years. Not really knowing how crappy they are. Never really had many issues with them. But my last oil change I used a napa filter (wix) now I have a tad higher oil pressure and my engine runs much quieter. hum..... I'm convinced.

I think that if you go to the Baldwin Filters site you will find some interesting date. Baldwin filters down to 10 mocrons whereas Napa Gold and some of the others that you fellas have talked about only filter down to 30 microns. A micron is equvilant to about 1/25,000 of an inch. I have run Baldin for years. Their filter cases are almot "bullet proof". Another filter of SURPERIOR quality, like the Baldwin, is the one sold by Amsoil, the only oil that I have used in my service truck, my International School bus and all of my POV's accept my sons VW Diesel Rabbit. I also run Baldwin fuel filters and K&N air rilters on all of my rigs.

Purolator filters rate high on all the studies posted on the internet. I use them because I like to shop at Bi-mart where you can get in and out quickly, no lines. If I go to wal-mart I have to wait in line behind hordes of people.

I used to use castrol gtx oil. Now I use Valvoline.
