  2. It's tight on my Daughters 2018 Forester. I use a wrench like this.
  3. assuming yours still has the plastic under cover... we took his off and left it off.. much easier to access things without it but yeah, you are supposed to pull that cover off for the oil changes, and any other work up front (coolant changes, etc) then you are "supposed" to put it back on.. pfft his has been off for probably 7-8 years now, with no detrimental effects. oil changes are super easy with full access.
  4. So you know , this is what happens. And the part is around $34 or so. You’ll get the entire handle as you see the old one presented here with all its assembly.
  5. As for the grille, I took it apart cut out all the center space and painted it Then I put it back together, cut the honeycomb steel to fit, marked the bends and went to town. Once it was properly fitted, I zip-tied it down and bonded it with Automotive Goop.
