yeah i think i'd like the more room myself.... and you can always install an xt6 clutch with ease on an Ea82. i was thinking along the lines of a '87ish wagon, with a six inch lift...some 28" tires, some lights and othere than that........thats about it...maybe a set of all terrians,...or some mudders and some street'ers. it'll be awhile tho...ill never be able to afford a six inch sjr lift... i want it silver too,...with some red decals. -Dalton

How do ea82s and ea81s compare? Opinions a plenty.
still.... i think Ea82 wagons look really sweet with a lift, and they are always for sale around here for cheap, just put on an sjr 6 in kit and some 28's and that thing will be rollin. i think they are alot roomy'er than Ea81's and have more options... more opinions please? pics would be cool too. -Dalton

well i talked to the guys down at airport auto and got the prices of their subie engines and this is what i got.... EJ18- 350$ EJ22-650$-750$ EJ25 dohc(rs + turbo)-2500$$ no 22T's and no 20G's i forgot to ask about eg33's and ez30's tho but thats what i got outta that...im thinking it would be better to just do a 2.2 n/a swap anyways...but still. -Dalton

i've thought this for a while, but i have seen a couple really clean ea82 wagons and stuff, and i think they look awesome lifted! how do you like them, compared to your lifted Ea81's? i like them. do they perform as good or better than the gen 2's? cool thanks -Dalton

for you die-hard ea81 lifted soob folks...
hey scott, my birthday is january 28th.....? -Dalton

for you die-hard ea81 lifted soob folks...
i want a lifted soob again....but i dont like the lift kit i have,.....and i think my next one is going to be an sjr 4/4.....so anybody that is thinking about selling thier Ea81 sjr kit...i want first dibs... you know alot of people say they dont work well but.... i got a chance to drive mike's lifted turbo brat, and i think it was the coolest soobie i ever have driven. he had the 5sp. d/r in it and a completely rebuilt Ea81T and the turbo spooled at the trial cruising speed(2500rpm) and i was loving it... i think it has quite a bit of power too it.....i LOVED IT!!!!! i guess what i am asking is....what are everybody else's experiences with the Ea81T motor for offroad purposes? thanks(didnt mean to hijack if i did...) -Dalton
