  1. By the way, you wont hurt my feelings if you dont buy the parts from me, I just wanted to see how competitive we were! Kurt
  2. Okay, Morgan, these are the prices I can be somewhat competetive on. Pilot bearing: 9.66 Throwout: 18.75 Wheel bearing; 10.89 And ball joints: 11.20 ea. Let me know if you need anything! Kurt
  3. Morgan, being the Carquest counterpro that I am, I'd be happy to get you some prices tommorow morning at work. The only downfall is that I am down her in Waseca, and your up in Apple Valley? Well, anyways, I'll see what I can do for you! Kurt
  4. Congratulations on your find! That's a whole lot of hardware for the front of your car, it looks pretty darn cool! Whish I new what they used for winches. Kurt
  5. What size of wheels are you running on your wagon?
  6. To me, it would all depend on if it has any rust. How do the subframe rails look? How about the rear wheel wells? I am a big fan of older subaru preservation, and I hate to see anymore bite the dust! Kurt
  7. I just have to chime in with my .02! If there is not a Napa close by, Carquest has Wix filters, and there Carquest Brand oil is also Valvoline. I am a Carquest counterguy, so I jsut had to give them a plug!
  8. Yhea, Rex Kwan Do was the guy on the Drew Carey show, and also he was in office space. I think his girlfriend in this movie was really a guy!
  9. We watched a movie last night called Napoleon Dynamite. There is a short scene that shows a gen 2 Brat pulling into a driveway! It looked really clean, and it maybe even has back seats! I got a kick out of it, you dont seem to see to many Brats in movies. Otherwise a very interesting movie. It's one of thoes that you watch a few times and still dont really "get".
  10. Well, there is a winter weather advisory in effect today, and it looks like it will hit hard around here with sleet and freezing rain! I hate to admit deffeat to mother nature, but I am going to have to stick around home today. I worked so hard on the wagon getting it ready to make the drive, and I was really looking farward to meeting Austin. Major bummer. But i do look farward to seeing pictures, and i will make it next time. Kurt
  11. I will deffinatly be there, but I might not be ther right at noon. But I DO want in on some of that pizza action! Their canadian bacon pinneapple is awsome! Anyways, see you guys there! Kurt
  12. I will be there for sure with the silver 83 wagon. I have been working all week on getting it ready, and I am looking forward to it. It doesnt have a lift, but it does have a tow strap! Anyways, I made sure to have my schedual open for that day. And I even got permission form my wife! I said "Woman: I am taking the wagon to the cities on Saturday. And that's that!" Or, at least that's how I wold like remember it going down! Should be a good time!
  13. D'oh! Now I have to excuse NOT to fix my wifes heated seat switch! Oh-yhea, its cold in the garage. That should give me a little more time to get my projects done first! NO, seriously, thanks for the write up, that's a service to everyone! Kurt
  14. I used to work with a girl who told us about their "house with a glass roof"! She said she would lay on her back in her bedroom and just watch shirtless construction workers on the roof. Also, she said that their house had glass walls, and her brother always tried to watch her undress! It's really funny, because everyone knew where she lived, plus, nobody would want to watch her undress!:-p
  15. Well, I suppose if you wanted to do it the easy way! What you actually just told me is that I made my project last weekend much harder than it had to be! Oh well, its always a learning experience! Kurt
  16. To get at the lights behind the heater controls, you need to take the radio console off. I think there are four screws that hold it on, two on each side. Then, you need to remove the aluminum plate that the first four screws thread into. After that, you need to slide the knobs off the heater levers, and pull the dials straight out. Under the dials are nuts that need to be taken off. After those are off, I think your in! I belive there are 2 #194 bulbs in there. Hope this helps! Kurt
  17. There was a C&D article on the Subaru hatch in the movie? Or was it on all of the cars? What about the Hatch? Is it still in good shape? Does it still have the gadgets and stuff in it? Does Jackie Chan still drive it from time to time to reminice? Who owns it? AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: How soon can we put a lift in it?!
  18. Sorry if someone has already pointed this out! My mother-in -law knows how much of a Burt Reynolds fan I am, so she picked me up a vhs copy of "Cannon Ball Run" at a garage sale. Definatly not one of burt's best! Anyways, there are a lot of big names in it(which does not always equal a good movie!), including Jackie Chan! A very young Jackie Chan! And what is his car of choice? 1982 Subaru Hatch 4wd! It is supposed to have all sorts of high tech computers and stuff on it, but i don't know who's bright idea it would have been to run the Cannon Ball Run race in a EA81 Sub! We all know just how FAST those are stock! Anyways, just thought someone would get a kick out of it, i know I did! Kurt
  19. I passed a black Legacy gt on the intersate last weekend! I definatlly love the dual exhaust! Very tasteful chrome tips.
  20. Thanks everyone so far, espcailly to McBrat for letting me pester you! Anyways, my friend John bought that Brat in Afton, Minnesota. It was his second, his first, an 85, got toatled. On the pictured one, he installed a roll bar, custom push bar and tubular rear bumper. He had the push bar and bumper made at a shop that builds roll cages for race cars over by Winona, Mn. He also had 4 KC lights on the roll bar, a c/b radio, and, of course, a back window plastered with cool decals. In his brat's heyday, he used it for everything from hauling shingles to hauling his Kawisaki Ninja(that would have lookd SO cool!) to comuting/ giving hitchhikers rides between Waseca and Winona. This Brat inspired me, and got me hooked on Subarus! Thanks again for everyones help, and if anyone else hears anything, let me know! Thanks, Kurt
  21. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/brats/turbo-brats/travis-turbo-brat.jpg This is THE Brat that got me hooked on Subarus! It used to belong to a friend, who lives in Waseca, Mn. He sold it in 2001 to a guy, possibly named Travis. He thinks that the man who bought it may live in the LeCenter area. I loed this car, and many times we have had the "I wonder what ever happend too..." conversation. If anyone has any details about the owner or the wareabouts, I would like to hear them! Thanks for you time, Kurt
  22. It would have to be Saturday or Sunday for me! I'm a working stiff during the week, but a party animal during the weekend! Any thoughts of a meeting place yet?
  23. Next time, I WILL drive the 83 wagon! And I will offroad! And I will get stuck! And I will have fun! It'll be a wagon train!
