  1. Crutchfield and others sell two installation kits for our cars. One with a trip computer, one without. The one with the computer looks almost identical to the stock one, but the whole for the stereo is bigger. Only problem is you have to cut out the small support bracket on the far left in the stereo cavity to allow the new stereo to fit. A little extra work and it will almost appear stock, besides the 1" extender bezel course. they have some pics of them on http://www.crutchfield.com . Hope this helps.
  2. I put a new stereo in the wagon yesterday and everything works fine, accept the antenna. It was working good up until now. It's not the stereo or the extender I bought. I can pull in a couple of stations real fuzzy. As soon as I plug the antenna into the extender, dead. No fuzz, just the tuner endlessly searching for nothing. Anyone have any ideas?
  3. Those look pretty nice, but I wonder how they would stick the sniffer up the tailpipe if it has a cap on the end?
  4. More backpressure keeps the cat hotter too right? I knew there had to be a good reason why they would put such a restrictive muffler on our rides. I need to keep that in mind when I'm buying a new muffler.
  5. The part numbers are different, but I can't confirm or deny whether they could be interchanged or not.
  6. They were really quick with a response to my email. They said they would even C.O.D. them to me for an extra $7. Nice.
  7. I was thinking of getting some magnecore's myself. They'll ship them to you direct from their factory for $5. The sets for my car are $41.68 (7mm) and $43.95 (8mm). Im not sure about a turbo.
  8. Anyone ever have any parts ceramic coated? I was just searching the web for things I can't afford and ran across this site. Check it out. http://www.skperformance.com/SKP_COATING_INFO.htm And some prices http://www.skperformance.com/auto.htm
  9. Do you have these links? http://toy4two.home.mindspring.com/offset.html http://toy4two.home.mindspring.com/tire.html http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html I don't know if they'll help, but there nice tools if you don't already have 'em. If pugs only have a 22mm offset, that opens up alot more choices that would fit my car. Good deal. Thanks for the info.
  10. It seems the clock is also wired into this harness. My clock has been acting weird lately, so I cleaned off the connections, and the clock is now working perfectly. The box looks like it will fit under my new receiver if I just shave down one of the brackets, so I'm just goin' to leave it.
  11. That's what the "lug-centric" lugs are for. Read #10 on the post again.
  12. Which style wheel are they offering for our offset ? Or close to our offset?
  13. My car doesn't have a trip computer, but when I popped the trim around the radio off, there's a black box to the right with a wire harness plugged into it. What is this?
  14. I'm not sure what our GL's are , but the Justy is 59.0 and Imprezas are 56.0. I found it here - http://www.tyresave.co.uk/fitment.html#BUIC With the info from that site, you could figure out which rims will fit on your car if you did a lug conversion. Our offset is 42mm, which is pretty common for FWD cars. It would be nice to make a list of compatible rims, so if you ran across something cheap at the JY, you could snatch it up knowing it would fit.
  15. Maybe the springs that hold it in were wearing and someone glued it in place. Just a thought.
  16. Those rims look like the Volk's I was checkin' out. Nice. I was noticing there were alot of 4x100's with the 42mm offset too. I came across a page with Fiero stats and it said they had rims on them that were like 14x6 with a 42mm offset. I'm not sure what bolt pattern, but I know there are more out there with the right offset. Just think, there could be a huge list of usable rims. 4x100,5x100,6x?, who cares, the more the better I say.
  17. Your wheels would be stickin' out the length of a lug then? That doesn't sound to good. They might be made out of steel, since they make lift kits too.
  18. Yeah, I know. I want to see a pic of 'em. I'm just curious how they worked the configuration out, how thick the plate is, price, etc.
  19. oops! I think their site just crashed. Hey rallyrus, you've seen them? I didn't see a pic on the site. How do they get 4 to a 5 with a plate?
  20. So, has anyone seen one of the BYB's 5-lug adapters? Any opinions on how good or bad an idea it is? I remember they used to have them for old VW's, to change it from a 5 to a 4. http://users.bigpond.net.au/bybsubi/index.html - in Accessories Oh, I know all about the 5 and 6-lug conversions talked about on the board. I don't need a refresher course on those.
  21. Check this thread out. It's a simple fix. http://usmb.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?threadid=5607&highlight=%2Acargo+cover%2A
  22. I was just reading another thread like this earlier. http://usmb.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?threadid=6297&highlight=muffler+upgrade
