  1. I will most likely be riding with Robert since mike has to work but as long as we go some were I will be happy:grin:. Just name a time and place to meet. Matt
  2. When are you off of work? I am off on the 25 thru the 4th. We have a pretty big project we are trying to finish so if you can get ahold of me through here or my E-Mail, I will be checking it throughout the day and night. My E-Mail is in the ol' profile. Matt
  3. You didnt miss anything, had enough time after everybody got up to get half way out of town then had to swing mike to work. We might make a quick trip before the weekend to do some testing but I highly dought it. Matt
  4. I agree, it is nice to see subarus doing somthing that far out there and succeding. Best thing is hearing what is actually going on and hearing the reactions of people. Matt
  5. That would be John's aka mudrat79 from Oregon. I think it had 12 inches of lift, EJ-22 engine mated to and auto tranny, then a Nissian transfer case. I believe it was running on maybe 33 inch tires. Matt
  6. If they are the same plugs I am thinking of, there should be a little tab in the middle of the wires on the plug, just push it toward towards the wire. If that dosent work push it the other way while pulling slightly. Matt
  7. I am just curious what the difference woud be in ground clearance between turning the samauri case so the output shafts were closer to being straight down, and already having the nissian case's output down? Matt
  8. You can rotate the Samauri transfer case to get the Drive shafts to line up but, the shift linkage will be kind of goofy. The drive shaft flanges/transmission input shaft wont bolt directly up to the Samauri T-case, but adapting the drive shaft flange from one to the other is pretty easy. Matt
  9. I would go with the solex, alot more simpler, less hoses and other crap in the engine compartment, and will make equal or more torque when climbing hills slowly. Matt
  10. I ran a Solex 34 for a while, which was better than the Weber but still not as good as the Carter. Matt
  11. You already know but to get it in the open, Carter/Weber Single Barrell off a ford inline 6. Tons of bottom end torque but like a motor to 6 grand. Matt
  12. That was part of the plan and also get out of the SUV driving city:D. Matt
  13. I was polling to see how many people I could get together tomorrow for a little trail run, it will be more of a drive around the woods and scouting around. I know myself and mike will be going along with robert. Matt
  14. What I did was just mount the alternator in upside down, so the single little ear is on the drivers side of the engine and when the other side is on the top of the mount the belt tension should be right. If just move the one bolt higher, if this makes no sence I will get pictures tomorrow. Matt
  15. Here is the alternator that I am using, but my mounting system is alot more different and simpler. When I get around to it I will get pics up. They are also using a different style of alternator bracket then I am using. http://usmb.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8470 Matt
  16. I will be there, have the week before off and half the week after off. Matt
  17. If it got held off till the 27th and 28th I could get the time off of work and be able to join in. And gives a little more tinkering time. Matt
  18. I disconnected both coolant lines going from the engine to the core, and used the garden hose to spray water down one hose until all the junk stoped coming out the reversed the process over and over till it stoped. Now there is no more noise and a lot more heat coming out of the heater. Matt
  19. On my car the Balck/Yellow wire from the dist goes to the Pos. and the Yellow wire from the Dist. goes to the Neg. But it is and 82'. I will go check an 84' wagon and have an answer by the end of the night. Matt
  20. Sweet Shots you got there, they are why I always wanted one of those little cars to play around in. Matt.
  21. I just PM'd you and if you need pictures I should be able to get some by wensday. Matt
  22. I called tonight after work and nobody was home, so we went to find it and couldnt find it. I will try again tomorrow after work, the only problem I might have is no place to store it. Matt
  23. Nope I didnt make it to the hatch yesterday but Robert and Mike are going to take a look at it today. I will have to take a look through the nickel and take a look at it. I will let y'all know what happens. Matt
  24. You will have to swap out the entire transmission, and install the D/R shift linkage since it is a mechanical link. Matt
  25. I will be there wouldnt miss this for a bag of fish in the VCR. Matt
