Alright, I have an 81 Brat, and may have the opportunity to get a 79 wagon.. My question is this...Just how much is the same on the two? Panels, Suspension, Glass, Drivetrain etc.

Center "info center" Pictures
In my sisters 3 Door, the Hazard symbol flashes when you have the hazard lights on, aswell as both indicator lights. They flash at different/opposing times though. Kinda funny.

81 Brat stereo.
Ok, so I'm wanting to put a decent stereo in the Brat. Yet the stock placement is the wrong shape, too narrow etc. Long story short, I think I can manage it without loosing the clock, and little cutting. I want to keep my original center console plastic thingamajig incase I need to put it back. I guess what I'm asking is, is that part interchangeable between any Gen 1's of a similar era? And what have you guys all done for Gen 1 stereos, pictures would be super.

Just put gagues from 81 Brat in my 78 Brat. Question:
My 81 didn't have a tach, but I canabalised one from a toyota celica to work. All I know is that this one picks up off the coil, has a earth and 12v+. I guess they could be similar?

Betcha never seen a EA81 coupe like THIS before.
I like it....Just as long as it isn't a full out brap brap rice coupe, I had a neighbour with the 13b turbo RX7 and it was a nice car without the brap brapness I see on most other rotaries. Just my 5cents.

Let's Talk Brat Power....
I am aswell not fully loving the peformance of the EA-81, yet managed to get another ticket in it this morning which brings me back to earth where I don't need or want to go any faster.....its expensive. Off road though, could be a different story. Just my 5 cents

EA-71 3 door coupe?
All of the "3 door coupe's" I see on here are EA-82, Is it strange that my sister has one with an EA-71 in it? Its called an "Omega" and apart from having the 1600 I can't tell it any different to any of the others. Its an 89 anyway and I'm pretty sure its all original. Round here its the only one coupe I've ever seen, apart from an RX on an internet auction a while back. Its quiet zippy in the higher rev's, less low power than my Brat but definately faster I think. ANyWay! I looked through the engine and model pages and couldn't see anything about a 1600 3 door coupe. Anyone else heard of one? Heres a few pictures anyway Ha, can you guess which room is mine in the house!:-p

hp and tow capacity
Engine specs This might shed some light on the HP figures As for 70miles, I think thats about 110k's. My Brat cruises ok round there. I can't say about towing though. Hope it helps

I can't believe this-- beware 56k carnage enclosed
Not to be a nag, but he said the car itself was bent and the rear doors now no longer open. That really really sucks anyway. What'd the Jeep driver do?

Gen 1 with Peugeot 15' 's
Ok went to town, can't find anyone who stocks simex, still one place I havn't tried yet though. One place had some Bridgestones I think with a pretty beefy tread for about $100NZ. Sounds about right? Oh well I've got a while to think about it anyway, till the shops open up again....

Gen 1 with Peugeot 15' 's
I get payed soon:drunk: Thanks I will ask around. The tyres I have at the moment are some sort of commercial snow tyre from a long time ago, they have worn very quickly in the two or 3 months I've had the car.
