- !!! Ea71 Turbo !!!
If they did exsist, Would they be mentioned in the owners manual? Eg, If my sister has this car http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=50229&highlight=ea71+coupe is it likely that http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Subaru/auction-43758764.htm This will be in her owners manual? I will try be of help at this end anyway as there are supposedly some over here. I havn't driven an ordinary ea71, and even though my sisters one is just carbed etc, it seems quicker than it should be (compared to my brat) when you give it hell. Hope I can be of help, I like the idea of a ea71 or ea81 turbo more than the ea82t in that vortex......- A Subaru Isuzu?? Slight 56K Warning
That makes me sick! But seriously, I'd be interested if anyone knew anymore. Nice find....I think I do like the mirrors:headbang:- This is AWESOME!!!
My friends and teachers all thought I was mad cause I kept making Brats and XTs in class It sure was fun to put little spoilers and bodykits on them all:headbang:- Overheating!
I'm not entirely certain on cooling systems, but if the radiator was boiling over, doesn't that mean the thermostat is at least opening ok? I'd say toss the overflow for a while and see how that affects things:confused: Sorry I can't be of much help.... Interested to see how this turns out, Goodluck!- Another mudrat bumper through a wreck...
Looks like the 'sidekick' Sidekick Is also the Suzuki Vitara in NZ, Japanese ones are known as the Suzuki Escudo, Some examples.... Vitara Escudo And the one we all know and love..... Monster Tajima's rally escudo Maybe not factory spec...... Anyway, my appologies for the hi-jack, Nice save from the bumper, Hope thats all the damage you've sustained.- 1986 EA71 Touring Wagon???
Hmm, that seems familiar......I've found the ea71 coupe to be fun to drive, loves to rev its guts out and skid dem 13's easy...ish. I'm sure an ea71 wagon will be just as pimplicious:)- Front Embelm
That one is from an 84 'MPV', aka brat, not sure what trim level, has the targa tops, 4 square headlights. If that helps. The one from Ross looks like the logo on my good Brat, except black, Ill get some pictures from the Vortex and the other Brat tomorrow maybe. Glad to be of help- EA-81 Freeze Plugs
As far as I know, Freeze or frost plugs, are incase your coolant freezes, and they giveway before any other more expensive part of the engine. Well, thats at least what I had gathered anyway. Anyone else feel free to enlighten me- Front Embelm
Ha, Beat yA! Heres the badge off my 84 "MPV" http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=10490&cat=500&ppuser=14763 maybe I should have cleaned it before photos...... Hope its what you were looking for- Front Embelm
I just got a 1984 Brat, If you still need I could take a pic with the digital cam, I think the Logo is still good. I think that pic you posted is from a Gen One vehicle, funnyly enough, I could get one of those if you need it too... I feel special...:-p- EA-81 Freeze Plugs
Schwing! Thats going on the list to check as soon as the weather fines up! Thank you:headbang:- EA-81 Freeze Plugs
Ok, so I just picked up an '84 Brat as a parts car for the '81, At least engine, gearbox, and wheels etc anyway. Was gonna drive it home cause it ran, but as soon as you put water in it, the water drained out somewhere. After checking the oil, yes, the water is going into the sump..... Now, what is my best case scenario? Do these things have Freeze plugs or whatever? Thanks!- Oops. I stripped/broke it again.
Being 16 Male also, can't say I've really had this problem much, Though I am rather scrawny. Luckyly for me, everything on the Brat and XT seem to come off and go on quite nicely:banana: MMM, A tourque wrench sure would be nice though...- NEW RIMS!(sorta) never seen before!!!
Man, you guys are lucky, I only had one option for anything non tarseal in a 13' short of rally tyres, and they were expensive.....Looking forward to seeing these on a car!- US Bike team wagon?
Forgive me, but that looks like a picture of a skiier on the side......:-\ Not a bicycle:drunk:- NEW RIMS!(sorta) never seen before!!!
Dude sweet!- Tires
I've got 175-70-13's on my brat, If anything they are a little bit smaller than stock. Someone directed me to this when I was contemplating tyres. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html- Give me details on a XT turbo please.
Sweet. Good luck- Wanting to lift a gen 1 Brat
- twin 4x4 stick/lever setup...
I think he means, One lever for Lo-High-range, And another for 2X4-4X4. I've givin it some thought, and I think I remember reading that it was possible on here. 2wd lo range would be sweet too.- Give me details on a XT turbo please.
If you need any right hand drive specific info on the (more commonly known to us) Vortex, Just yell out and Ill have a looksie on mine. You gonna go ahead with it eh? Could be pretty swweeeet!- Some New Pipes
Soo, Just Plumb er in somewhere between, Mr Turbo and Throttle body, Where does the tube that sets it off (or what ever that other tube is) go to?- Some New Pipes
Any chance of some more BOV piccys and some plumbing info? I'm thinking once I get the XT goin sweet some half assed blow off valve + uber loud exhaust would really confuse (and probably disapoint) the people looking for the WRX or turbo legacy that are normally seen rolling round here. - !!! Ea71 Turbo !!!
