Evans Creek WA. run in Feb?
Groups bigger than 5 tend to be too hard to manage. . .

Toughest thing you've seen a subie do?
Sorry to hear you think that. I saw Ken's brat go up Cadillac Hill at the Rubicon. Filmed it too. I drove a 3 inch lifted hatch with an LSD and 26 inch Coopers up the upper 311 trail at Evans Creek. Did it with a Brat with the same specs. If that's not impressive offroading with a Soobie, nothing is.

Evans Creek WA. run in Feb?
I think my route is pretty direct. . . 169 out of Renton, thru Maple Valley, then on to 410 in Enumclaw, then to Buckley and I'm there. I've been taking that Route since I first went to Evans in 98. . . I'm stickin' to it my friend.

Evans Creek WA. run in Feb?
Yeah, pretty much. I go thru Black Diamond and Enumclaw via Renton. I like the route cuz it's somewhat close to places to get help if I need it. It takes me an hour and a half to Enumclaw, add 1/2 half hour, and yeah, 2 hours. But, I did make it from Ken's place to my house in 40 minutes one time in Naomi's old imp. (Half the reason we got rid of that car)

Evans Creek WA. run in Feb?
9:30's fine. I have to drive the better part of 2 hours one way to get there, what's Rob's time, 15 minutes? Like Ken always says. "You'll have plenty of time to sleep when you're dead."

IMMEDIATE ATTENTION NEEDED, ORV opinion poll-time sensitive
I'm personally psyched to perhaps get an ORV park going in that area. My Father's cabin is pretty close, so playing there will be convenient. I lived in Quilicene as a kid for a few years.

Evans Creek WA. run in Feb?
I'll go depending on 2 things. 1. Ken gets his rig trail worthy. 2. Not too much more snow falls. I'm still open unlike the rest of you badasses.

Snow Day Excursion
Kyle! I'm all sorts of happy you got it back and on the road! Out of all my old Soobie 4Xs, that's the one I miss the most. How's the motor holding up? You ready for a 2.2 swap yet? Shoot me a call.

Subiefest Rally X thread. Got pix or stories?
I hate my camera, maybe just my knowledge of how to use it, but it takes crappy action shots. Anyways, you get the idea.

Subiefest Rally X thread. Got pix or stories?
Had a blast! More fun than I've had at a Rally X ever. ever. I was pretty honored to get a chance to run after a proper Subie Rally car went around the track a couple of times. Thanks Paul. Great job, what a sweet course. I usually hate slaloms, and this track had 3. They made it really run, cuz they were fairly high speed slaloms, really made me work. I'll get the couple of pics up in a minute. Anybody have any of me or Qman. Got my wagon in action?

Finally got the OBS lifted!
If you make the trip out to WA, I'll stand still and let you hit me a couple of times with raquet balls. lol Yeah, it came with the spaggetti string 13mm, I added a 20. I handles remarkabley well with the stiff struts and the 225 series tires. Surprises people all the time.

OBS on Forester XT struts/spring
Looks sharp! Now you have to get some tires to fill those tall holes.

Finally got the OBS lifted!
That's what I wanted to hear! I'm hoping the guy who said he wanted to get into selling ej lifts will see this thread and consider it motivation to come out of mothballs. (Has it been two months yet?) I put the tires on it and dropped the jack. That's how it was sitting, so I took a picture. Sorry to fool you guys, but I promise the next thread you see like this from me will be for real. (late happy april fools day or something)

Hatch Patrol's 6th? annual X-mas Tree Run to Greenwater
December 2. Meet at Enumclaw Miky D's at 9:30, planning on leaving there at 10 sharp. Come on up and join us, it will be fun for the whole family!! Bring your kids and dogs. UPDATE!!! We went yesterday(Saturday) and there will have to be some minimum requirements... Snow tires will be required for AWD vehicles. 4WD trucks must have good tires! No baldies! Anyone running swampers should be OK. You will need extra clothes, shovels, food and extraction equipment(ie, shovels, straps, sand etc). And most importantly, common sense. Vehicles that do not have these things will not be allowed to travel with us. Don't mean to be harsh but safety is a bigger concern than upsetting someone.

Went to the Snow, had a blast (56k? me too :) )
Well, keep it ready, the X-mas tree run is on the 2nd of December. I think this will be a pretty good year for us. Yeah, I photo shopped all of them. I never really went to the snow. . . 2000km away. I have to drive 40 minutes to get to snow. But I have to pick which pass first.

Tractor tires on a subaru?
I got to ride in that car. It was either one of the funnest times I've ever had, or one of the scariest. When the radiator hose blew ar about 50 mph on a skinny rump roast dirt road, covering the windshield in antifreeze, I had to ask to be let out.

Nobody showed up, so I went up with just my Toy and my buddy Brian riding along. We were the only truck up there with the snowmobiles. The cherokee with the command track and studded snow tires backed out waaaaaayyyy before we sere forced to stop. The pic below is deceiving, it's a pretty big hill. We backed up and pushed forward a whole bunch of times before giving up. The snow was up to the bumper, but the tires were sitting on about 12 inches. When we tried to walk in it, we sunk to our waists. When we turned around below, the drift was up over my tires. Had to do a bit of digging to get out, about 2 minutes, the snow was really fine and light weight. I'm pretty friggin impressed with the Firestones! Aired down to 12 lbs, they just pushed me forward with practically no slippage the whole way. No tire tracks to follow the whole time, just snowmobile tracks. It was a challenge keeping the truck at 20mph, keeping it on the trail and taking pics of Brian on the way back down. I lost it once and gat some pretty gnarly fish tails, made me laugh pretty hard.

Change-o-plans! Headed to the pass to play in the snow. I'll be leaving my house at about 9 a.m. No lift needed! All are welcome.

You legacy isn't gonna go anywhere on those roads. If things go right, I'll be using my winch this weekend. I know my buddy will have open seats in his FJ. I may or may not have a passenger with me. Meet up with us in the a.m. Maybe you could meet Scott at the gas station at the exit and leave your car there. Buddy's FJ:
