  1. I can do that. Gimme a minute, I'll whip out some good ones. For now, here's a few that I thought were worthy, I had to pick out 80 of my favorites. lol. Looks like you already posted a bunch of them though. http://hatchpatrol.com/
  2. This is from the trip I originally took to the park to scout it for a venue. The mudpit area is not just a little corral, it's a bit bigger. Here's a view of a guy trying to climb the banks on the side of the mudbog drag area. (note the entry to other pit along the right side)
  3. That's your problem. Just use a paper towel or a paper nampkin to soak up the moisture in there. Do it again after 15 minutes to get the remainder. You should be fine. (and don't tell him to seal his disty, cuz water on the outside will condense into the inside and then it's a mess to take apart)
  4. WCSS7, 8 who's counting. . . ? And sorry to burst your bubble pal, but you ain't the first guy to save a Toyota with your Subaru at a WCSS. . . Anybody care to guess just who the guy the arrow is pointint to? I'm curious to know, with it to do over again-long drive home and all, if he would take his Soob into the good part of the mudhole?
  5. Get ready. Your car sounds similar to Flowmaster's GL. Ask him how it faired in the slop at WCSS3. . .
  6. I'll bring both of my rides, the imp and the Toy. The imp cuz it's a Soob and will be fun to get muddy. Not too sure if it'll have a d/r by then, time's getting too short for me to do stuff to it. It should be one of the crowd's favorites to look at anyways. The Toy cuz I can't see it being possible to regulate the mud hole. By that, I mean the WCSS can't rent that part of the park and it'll be open to everybody. I'll bring it with it's open diffs and the Soobs can show it up and make the crowd cheer like last year. (or the other way around, who can say?) That and the 8k WARN on the front will yank the stuckest Soobs out of the hole like nothing.
  7. huh? This is just a trailer/teaser, I've got a guy going thru 6 hours of footage that I sent him. He's making a full length vid. Should be out soon. . . The toy vs brat.mov 5.6 MB plays fine, not too sure about the bigger file. http://homepage.mac.com/WebObjects/FileSharing.woa/wa/default?user=digeraticomputing&templatefn=FileSharing1.html&xmlfn=TKDocument.1.xml&sitefn=RootSite.xml&aff=consumer&cty=US&lang=en Enjoy. EZ
  8. Happy Birthday Mick! You beat me to 40, but you didn't beat Ken. lol Cheers.
  9. Sure, why not? Anybody else have cars they wanna bring? Ferris?
  10. Toy's R Us is where I got the chassis. I bought the upgrade with the "compound" gears and the tires. I cut the hummers up and matched them to the imps. The wagon is a Hasagawa, the sedan is a Revell.
  11. Yeah, I'm sure he will. My sister has an impreza too, she'll probably make a showing. . .
  12. I hear you guys. 3 was where I showed my first lifted Subaru, the silver brat aka Secretmobile. 9 should be where I debute the first lifted (by kit and strut/spring) impreza in the US. (I think)
  13. (Subaru body) R/C cars that is. . . I've got a few to bring and play with. They're all dirt toys. A couple of mini 4x4 crawlers, a pair of 1/24 4x4 impreza offroaders and the 1/10th 4 wheel drive Tamiya Brat. Maybe if we get enough of us together, we could get the organizers to offer prizes for an RC "car show". lol I know plenty of you are sitting on those Tamiya Brats and need to get them out of the box and play with them. If ya don't have one, ebay's got the re-release. . . What's up? hmm? hmmm?
  14. You don't get what I'm getitng at. . . I'm saying that tire sizes vary too much from tire to tire to get an accurate calculation. You would need to physically measure it.
  15. Cuz tire sizes vary too much from manufacturer to manufacturer, that's why. Two tires in the photos are marked "27". One is marked 8.5, one 9.5 for width. The swamper is at least an inch taller an probably 2 inches wider. For reference, left to right: 27/9.50/14, 225/55/17, 27/8.50/14, 205/60/15, 175r14.
  16. I tried WRX spring/strut assemblies on the rear first. But, the end of the strut just below the threads has a different lip (for lack of a better word) than the GCish ones. There was a 1/4 inch of space that made a constant bang bang bang over bumps on the test drive. That was using my own tops. The tops from the WRX struts have a different width in the bolt pattern. You could use them if you felt comfortable redrilling the holes up top. I used used springs and new GR2s.
  17. Good luck. And as advised earlier on, I'd get a hold of ScottinBellingham at SJR if I were you. He's a great guy, he can help you get your rig where you want it to be.
  18. Gee thanks!! I know this, you'll note I put GC "style" as to make it easier to know that I'm not talking about the newer 02+ bodystyle.
  19. Welcome to the USMB It kinda does answer your question. And without pics of what wheels you're talking about, how would we know if you would need to "shim" them out or not? Wheels come with wide variety of backspacing and offset. Did you go thru the frequently asked questions sticky at the top of the forum? You'll find the answer to your question is pretty general. There is no manual to refer to.
