  1. Sorry, I told the wife I'd take one for the team so she and her Mom, who's here from Japan, could go watch the fireworks. I'll be home babysitting a 2 1/2 year old who's got a bit of a fever and cold. . . :-\ We've got some that we'll set off in the lot accross the street. Happy 4th just the same.
  2. My new old Brat. Just got it back from the guy who I sold it to almost 5 years ago. Happy am I. He treated it very well btw. Weber 32/36 that I originally installed before selling. Pug and play, no messing with it. The Success Story part: I flew from Seattle to Pocatello, ID last Thursday (6/28) to retrieve my old Brat and hopefully get it back Home in time for the WCSS9. I haven't seen hide nor hair of the car in the time it was gone, so no idea what to expect. Dale assured me it would do fine, I didn't see any reason not to believe him. Still wasn't too happy to find that the first 4 hours of the trip would be thru the desert with the temp at about 95+ degrees. We set out, and by Boise, were able to figure that the car was getting some 25 mpg, the odometer was a bit off because of the 225/70/14 All Terrains it was sporting. Fifth gear the whole way, averaging roughly 75-80. Cool so far. Night set in, so the first of the mountain passes, the Blue Mountains, would be done at night. Only a couple of times, we had to drop it into 4th up the big hills, never dropped below 60 mph. So, event free, we made it back to Seattle, two more mountain passes and all. @750 miles, gas used = 23 gallons. Yeah, you do the math. 12 hours for the trip, with minimal stops for leg stretch, energy drinks and piss breaks. That's when I looked under it to find it had no CAT. It blew thru emmissions just the same, made me pretty happy. Moral, Webers can be a very nice addition to your ride. Super gas mileage, lots of power, and still run clean.

who told you you can't use 27s with a 3 inch lift? why would you need to use legacy control arms? feel free to use the faq up top, i spent a lot of time putting it together it will tell you that 27s will indeed fit under your car. if you can make it all work it should look pretty cool all said and done who knows, maybe you'll be the very first person to adapt the outback struts and springs to a GL that would be pretty cool. i say try it maybe you'll fail maybe you will not fail. good luck
  4. Your boy Brian claims that's his car. . . Which one is it Rob? lol
  5. Yeah, I know what you mean. My Mom was in the truck when the hood went under water. lol ('You're not gonna try to go in there are you?. . . ERIC!!' I also got a little off caber going up one of the muddy climbs and had to weasel my way the rest of the way up. She was a little freaked out, but she's getting better. (she wanted a second ride in the imp at the rally x.)
  6. Ya know I'm playing Rob. You were a pretty big star, you didn't let folks down by not using your ride for what it was meant for. You also didn't let folks down by not knowing how to pilot it. Bravo, kudos, all that!
  7. A few of these kids are already WCSS veterans. My boy is two, he's been to 2. (thanks for the shirt Mick!) Mark's kids are long time vets now. A shot of the rigs outside of Denny's on the trip down.
  8. Same Rob, all in fun. . . .Dumb drunk people and wheeling. You're nice for helping him. If he'd done that after I'd warned him, and drunk, I woulda left him to fend for himself.
  9. I don't know, but I do know there's lots of motorcycles buzzing around from 6 a.m. till 10 p.m. A skittish dog would be a bad idea probably. . .
  10. Fireworks aren't allowed at the show or ORV park. I think they said they'd throw you right out if you got caught using any.
  11. Ken and I took a gander at the mudholes two weekends ago. There is gonna be a lot of winching going on, I'll tell you that much. I saw a place or two where Rob will maybe make it, but the rest of you 27 inch tire wearin' folks are in for some trouble. Bring your 44s. Bring your approach angle. Deeeeeeeeeep scaaaaaaaaaaaaaaary lookin' mud. You can quote me on that.
  12. They should just put that little purple question mark up every day. . . lol The weather man does not control the weather. . . the weather does. (and rain dances)
  13. Yeah, lol. Yesterday I went and spent a couple of hours digging up the ones sticking out of the ground. Pushed the carnage over to the side more. Then I dug a few holes and made mounds and stuff to run the r/c jeeps back there. The 1/6 one does remarkably well with a good charge. I've got the beginnings of a pretty cool little track. Should be sweet by the time you all get here for my little shindig.
  14. I think a set of 27/8.50s would fit perfectly on one of them. My neighbor had one, we were pretty sure from eyeing it. Here's what the Toy did to the blackberries. All I had to do was rake them off to the side. Keep in mind, they were as tall as the roof on the garage, I had no view of the fence in the distance untill I was a few feet from it. Now I've got a place to stash a couple of extra cars. :evil
  15. OK fine, how about if you've ever had my # and lost it? lol pm me.
  16. I've bought a couple of kits from Ozified.
  17. Cool date huh? I'm gonna have a b-day party to celebrate not being 40 yet. I'll be 39. . . Rob's b-day is near there too isn't it? We can celebrate that too. BBQ and all that. Bring your own meat and beverage. That and the new house should be ready to receive guests by then. Hopefully. House warming time. If you have my cell phone #, you're invited. Call me up for directions and rsvp. EZ
  18. Be nice or be nice? As in greet him warmly, or hand him the keys and gas card? lol Drive safely wagonsonly if you read this.
  19. Yeah I know, but it would be hell to try to count everybody. lol
  20. Curious what the average age is, I know we vary quite a bit.
  21. Aren't there any local 4X boards near you? I scored my 33s used for $450, they were like new. I like them better than Super Swampers.
