Oh my God! ... ... 700Watts output? ... I Really will Love to see a Pic of That Setup!. Could you Put here some Pics? Well... Here in my Country, due to the Lack of Regulations, we can Obtain the 9104 Rally Bulbs, instead of the Standard 9004 ones. The main Difference `bout, is that the 9004 got Wider (Horizontally) Element, so Wider / Diffuser light is done by 9004. Instead, 9104 got Larger (Vertically) Element, so 9104 Bulbs Reach Twice the Distance with Twice Brightness, and more Clear Spot of Light. Look this Image for more Info: Those 9104 are rated 100W High / 80 Watts low (Real Output) are Flösser Brand. Just "Plug and Play" Well... I`ll like to know More `bout the HID Conversion for Subies... What is the Greatest Advantage? More Brightness? More Distance can be Reached to Illuminate? How is the Pattern? Thanx!

You need first to Know Which Engine EJ series will be Used, then, to Find the Adaptor to Install it to the EA Gearbox... ...Then comes a Lot of Things... I Think you should Decide / Obtain the EJ Engine First... Could you Post here Pics of that car? Good Luck!

About Greases... Bgd did Mention something about Synthetic Grease for Axles (Now I Know that`s the Same thing called C. V. Joints ) And with my Experience, I determined that for my Subies is Better the Meistersatz Brand (Made out of Pure Graphite) ... but, How about Synth. Greases? What is your Experience with `em? ... Which Performs Better? Thanx!

About Greases, I Have Tried many Brands for my Constant Velocity Joints (Axles... I Dunno the Right Translation from Spanish) and Bearing of my Subies... and the Only Grease that Works Very Well and Develop Greatest Performance, Durability, etc... (For My Subies) is This: Also, I Use the Large Rubber Boots (those Used in the Gearbox part of the Axles) in the Wheel Parts of ´em. Those Last Longer!

Welcome! About the Carburetor, to deal with the Hitachi stock is a Headache; I suggest that if the stock is Bad, Change it with a Weber 32/36 Carb. Its the Simpliest way to Increase Performance and Gain Beautyful Simplicity in a Carbed EA81... but Check Emmissions Regulations in your State First. Also you can Install the EA82 MPFI Intake, here you can do a Search ´bout, there´s a Lot of info. Good Luck!

Thanx to All replies! , Very Nice info. I didn´t Knew... I was about to Buy a Bottle of PTFE engine Treatment for my Tickin´ EA82, but now I Don´t! Other Question, Between Petrol Based Oils, and Minerally Based Oils, Which one is Better for my Subies? (EA82 and ER27) I Use Motul Minerally Based Oil 20W-50 in Both (Also in my Dad´s 1969 Mercury Comet) ´cos with it, the Tick is Almost Gone, but maybe you know Somethin´ about Mineral Oils that I don´t Know... Well... I just wanna Add that the Oil Doesn`t make any Damage to any Metal, so the Leaks come due to the Seals. Let me Explain: Older engines came with the Seals Not Designed to Resist the Synth Oil, which damages the Seals as Bad Brake Fluid (With much Alcohol content) will Damage brake Seals... When Synth oil first came, Sellers give a Li`l Paper Sheet, with the Warnin` About the Seals. so Older Engine will Leak with Synth Oil due to Seal Fail against Synth Oil. Newer Cars come Prepared for it.

Yes! ... I Use Motul 20W-50 Always (No Snow in Tropics) and my EA82 has over 245K With that Brand of Oil, due to its Mineral Base (No Synth, No Petrol.) my EA82 Performs Smoother, and the "Tick of Death" is Almost Gone...

2WD or 4WD? ... I think the EA81`s (Subaru Leone) will fit, but better Idea is to Take the Part with You and search (Maybe in Junk Yards or in a Car Parts Store) with it; due to the Fact that Measurements of Parts usually Vary from a Country to Others... Good Luck!

Usually, some Mechanics use to Recommend / Sugest the Use of "Magical" Additives, some Compleately Refuse to Use `em... ...Some of that Additives claim to Run Engines even Without Oil! Increasin` the Slick Level of Internal Parts; We saw in a T.V. Spot, someone runnin` a Small Block V8 Engine without the Oil Pan, :-\ ... Some Treatments use PTFE (Teflon) some Don`t and say that PTFE can Ruin the Engine ... What do you Think `bout? One of the Top seller Brands on our Market, is QMI ( http://www.qminet.com/ or: http://nooga.com/calar/index.html ) Also Metaloil, etc... What do you Think `bout? ... How was your Experience with those Special Additives?
