  1. Well my 86 Turbo has had all the same noises. QMAN hit it on the head. Run better gas and bump timing back a little. I run all my cars about 5degrees advanced and if I pass that I can really hear it. Most cars seem to run better a little advanced. Have also noticed since it got down to the single numbers abouve zero here now that I have to let it warm up before I try to leave. I remember Austin telling me to wait until I have a bar showing on the gauge before going with it. Sofar that seems to worm. So warm them up guys.
  2. The wagon got around 28mpg with stock tires. I think they were 175 70 13's Chux's would know, he got the old rims and tires. You can try this link for different sizes and speeds: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html Also when the 29's wereput on it got around 20mpg driving back and forth to work and thats 40 miles each way and mostly highway
  3. Howdy Richlo65, How's my old camo wagon treating ya? Still having a blast with it?
  4. I got the decals off Ebay last week. Not to sure I like the big Subaru one on back but the silver was a nice touch to the car already.
  5. Who makes that car! So what do you think now? Think they will get it?
  6. Found it: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=46184 Who owns the XT? Is that a stick on and was it on a turbo hood or a stock hood? I have the turbo hood scoop now and want to cover the whole
  7. Someone on this board has an XT with a STI hood scoop installed. I remember seeing the picture but now I can't find the link. I was wondering how much cutting has to be done to fit this on the XT. Also has anyone seen a picture with a Subaru wing on back of an XT? Now that I lifted it some and put the pugs on I would like to toughen up the looks a little more. It's turning a lot of heads now just driving back and forth to work here in Minnesota. Now very many left on the road.
  8. We were going to put one on my camo wagon. Found a plastic one at a snowmobile swap meet for a jeep cj. It was a manuel turn, you had to get out and pull the pin, turn the plow and reset the pin. Figured I could mount a cheat cable winch to the bumper to lift it up and down. Never happened thou. I get to many idea's and never have the time to do them. Guess I should be on Riddlen lol
  9. Welcome to the forum and how come no picture of you standing by the car? lol Beaches around here will be froze soon and we will be using the candles for extra heat the way fuel prices have gone up. LOL How romantic huh..... Welcome again and I'm sure the rest of the group with chime in soon.
  10. Will have to see, busy time of year for me and didnt you have a BBQ going that weekend? I dont need any parts, sold the wagon and have a person interested in the XT and I dont have it up for sale yet. Have to get the bugs out of the SVX first.
  11. Just the one we went to that I know of and he pulls the parts. I have to get a headlight motor from him tonight I hope on the way home. I have a buyer for the XT now and I wasn't looking to sell it. Hmmm just more to think about. I'm staying away from the SVX I called you about. I really want one but I'm thinking another road trip for a cleaner one is a better idea if I really have to have one.
  12. Because Minnesota needed more lifted Wagons
  13. My wagon had it for a year and then I had a new oil pump put in and no more tick! Now I have more oil pressure for all the leaks. lol
  14. Got a phone call from him. He was going to come up last weekend but he never made it. I think he went to meet the MNSubaru guys in St Paul but I'm not sure. By the way Austin, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! My Dodge is still older then you. lol
  15. Welcome to the hang out. Hope you don't end up spending hours a day here like some of us. lol
  16. Well mines not woodgrain but it's the same vinyl idea and it's rare. lol
  17. Didnt see this post in time. He is going to run into a mess between Albertville and Rogers if he ends up making it there during morning rush hour. Might want to look at a map if you see this post and head south from Monticello on 25 and work your way home.
  18. Austin is on his way back to Seattle for a bit. Should be back next week sometime.
  19. I wont make it unless it's in the Dodge and I'm sure the MNSubie guys wont want me taking up 2 spots. lol
  20. I ran a hot wire to mine and have it hooked to a switch. Problem is I have to remember to turn it off but it beats 100 outside
  21. Ed, I'm around in the evening also if he has issues in Minnesota. Have tools and garage. Just have him get a hold of Austin and Austin can track me down john
  22. Next Weekend is Car Craft down there and it will probably be a zoo. Also I think Austin may be heading back to Washington. Guess you will have to see what he has to say. I think he was going to help Ed out with something. Lets see if he gets this and chimes in.
  23. Will be two lifted wagons heading down there around 8 if the MNSubaru guys have room for us. See you all there if ya can make it.
  24. I'll be around this weekend working on the Super Bee if you two are bored and are out for a drive. My son will be up, maybe Austin can kick his butt in some Xbox. I can't. lol john
