Any interest in a North East soob offroad meet?
Well, depending on others, i'll probably just leave early saturday morning(coming from Philly/Ben Franklin). I am down for camping out, but i don't currently have a tent. I might be able to borrow one from a friend, but i do not know what kind of quality of the tent(if it rains, i dont want to get all wet). I have a 95 impreza coupe, so i cant sleep in it, comfortably. Is anyone else coming through the philly area, cause if so, we can travel together in a group. I was considering camping friday night and saturday night, but i don't know if thats too much for some people. I'll work on getting a cb. Should i lok at an expensive one or will a cheaper one(like forester ranger has, it has all the controls on the hand mic). Gotta figure out where to put the antena. And the orange flag i think i am gonna mount on my FM atenna on the A pillar. I also need to aquire a full size spare.

AH. I was gonna say you should make up small ones that say "USMB.Net" or "USMB.Net Member" or "STi Off-Road Package"

Re-locating Radiator
I know alot of toyota mr2 guys have done this with either their radiator and or their intercooler. The thing is, they have a mid-engine layout. The plumming to the rear of the car from the front, inside the cabin i assume, seems like an awful lot. Not to mention you'll probably need to add an inline pump somewhere. Mount it above the engine like an intercooler and modify the spare section area. Then you can use one of those sweet hood scoops.

Coming up on the 120k mark.
Alright. I own a 1995 subaru impreza. It has the 2.2L ej22 and currently an auto trans(hopefully not for much longer). I bought the car with 96k miles on it. It now has 111k. I need to start collecting parts for the 120k service. I have changed the oil every 2000 miles and plugs every 6k. I changed both the front and rear diff fluid about 1k miles ago and the fuel filter about 4k miles ago along with new plug wires and an air fliter. I haven't changed the tranny fluid yet because its still looking good but i dont know when the previous owner did it(need to get it flushed because i have the dreaded duty c solonoid problem, but, i may be swapping in a manual tranny like next week). Anyways, the car has some oilly spots underneath (all over really, no specific area, probably from when i washed the engine down with some engine degreaser and it all collected underneath.) Besides that, the engine doesn't burn oil, studder, stumple, run warm, nothing. I know at 120k i need to do the timing belt and water pump. But is there anything else major? My brakes will get done probably next oil change pending on how much meat if left from the last change. What seals should i do at 120k. Crank?Cam? i seemed to have misplaced my owners manual so not sure what else need sto be done. And being a college student with a part time job, i need alittle head start to start buying parts for job. I plan on doing all the work myself and am fairly competent mechanically. Thanks.

New Pain relief available.
I had my younger brothers friend who works at just tyres mount and blanace them for free(i gave him money ofcourse for doing it for me). Anyways, my steelies were all bent in one form or another. I have enough balancing weights on there its crazy. I will eventually have to find a new set of wheels, but for the time being.

I just got mine(27inch TSL SSR's) mounted a few hours ago on my old steelies. I got mine from 4wheelparts. They had free shipping and each tire was 102.00. Granted, its more than the $90.00 i wanted to spend on TSL radials, but still. I can't wait till my forester springs get here.

I'll take one. How much? Can you make one smaller for say the rear windshield or the rear window/quater panel glass?

Oh well. Smores it is then. Ordered my springs yesterday. Already have my struts and my 27inch ssr's. Gonna go mount the SSR's today. Getting ready. But it doesn't look like i'll have a sturdy recovery point in the front considering mudrat appears to have dropped off the face of the planet. Do the stock tow hooks on an impreza count as "front and rear recovery points" ? If i get a tow hook from a 4x4 wesbite/store, can i drill and mount that onto the rear diff subframe?

Having some offroading fun
I just picked up a Canon 300d(aka the Digital Rebel) with the kit lens and all the goodies+a canon battery grip for $300. I need to now learn how to take pictures with it . What i am tryin to say is beautiful photography. I am also trying to say that people should start making wall papers for people with wide aspect monitors(1680x1050). cough cough. Nothing beats subarus playin in the dirt.

does that $5 include a fire permit? Cause nothings better than a campfire and some food cooked over an open fire + a few cold ones.

R&P steering pushing swampers ??
i can tell you in a month. I will be getting my 27inch ssr's tomorow and probably won't have them on for another week or more, depending on how long it takes me to get it lifted and cut the fenders.

My first real off road experience.
I am up to go anytime. I like the idea of having another subaru with me, or multiple. I don't mind going with my bro and his friends in their trucks, but i think it would be more fun with rigs with similar abilities. My new tires should be here tomorow and my new struts as well. I just need to order springs/find springs and i am pretty much good to go. Before i do anything serious i wanna pick up a good come-a-long(see my other thread in this section) and a recovery strap and i'll hit Wharton up anytime. Its so big.

I am totally in. I live in South Jersey, but would be willing to make alittle drive. I should have my strut spring lift installed along with my new tires and bumper by then, no problem. i only ask for good directions though. And if anyone else is driving through jersey, i would like to meet up and drive in a group.Rollin deep in subarus would be bad rump roast:headbang:

Summer Lift Kit Group Buy
ej kit for me. Its for my impreza, so i don't know what i should do now, since you guys were the only one claiming to have an impreza kit. I suppose i would be willing to try it out depending on how many other ej owners sign up. jays_hobbyshop@yahoo.com

Any interest in a lift kit group buy???
i would be interested in a EJ lift for my impreza. I was planning on buying one from you guys anyways. Is the 4inch'er for the ej body style the largest?

About to purchase struts, questions?
i went ahead and just got forester struts and will order the springs when i get the funds. Its a 95 with 111,000 miles, The tops look good from what i can see. Not really worried. Now if mudrat will only ship my bumper, i will almost have my subaru trail setup for some serious offroadin.
