86 wagon gl balljoint replacement questions
Getting back to the balljoint... One of my manuals (FSM, Haynes, How To Keep Your Subaru Alive) says to pull back the rubber "housing" on the balljoint and fill with grease (the other two don't, IIRC). I thought those came pre-lubed and sealed, but my feeling with this is, "never enough grease":-\ . Opinions, advice, experiences, comments?

Reno-Tahoe Wrenchfest...
Well shoot guys, the weather's been real nice around here, and is expected to last through the weekend:banana: . Great for wrenching, even if outdoors. Brian, a tree run in the snow (usually in mid-December) is always a blast.

L-series wagon steering wheel shakes a little doing 45-55MPH?
"next time, don't go with the douglas tires" Maybe next time don't go with Walmart. 99% probability you have a balance problem; 1% faulty tire.

Reno-Tahoe Wrenchfest...
If not a wrenchfest, maybe some light wheeling before the snow flies. (My rig could always use a new axle or two:lol: ) Most of the USFS trails around Tahoe are already closed:( .

Reno-Tahoe Wrenchfest...
What the heck (no pun intended:rolleyes: ), how about this Sunday, 21st? No snow or rain in the forecast.

Reno-Tahoe Wrenchfest...
Yeah, we usually meet someplace in Reno. Kinda centrally located, and only 30~40 minutes from me.

General parts buying question...
I went to replace the pads today, and the piston on the passenger side is frozen solid, won't budge. Besides, it's time..these calipers have over 150K on them, and are Kragen Remanufactured (ElCheapo).

General parts buying question...
OK, my '83 needs new calipers (front). I've looked around online, and am seeing calipers listed as "loaded", "semi-loaded", and "unloaded". Does "loaded" mean the calipers come with everything, no need to buy pads and other hardware separately? Seems like that's the way to go. Opinions, explanations? Thanks.
