  1. Put me down for one please. EDIT: You have 2 PMs
  2. Ah, yes.... they were just done as well. Forgot that part. :-p (he said rear HUBS, but I knew what he was talking about) Nice gold rims, BTW
  3. Here she is boys and girls! My newest ride. 98 Forester 200K 5 spd Headgaskets done last spring Timing belt/water pump/tensioner/seals/etc just done New brakes 2 new front axles She still has an electrical issue to sort out, but runs real nice.
  4. Sweet! (although I hope she's a good sport) Tell her this is us when its time for Waffle House!
  5. Matts just not redneck enough for it.
  6. Nice. It looks so CLEAN!
  7. I can only imagine how totally stoked you have to be. Jess and I are planning to go to WCSS this fall... and we're stoked NOW! Enjoy.
  8. This is not a sign of water intrusion per-se... but rather that something inside your vehicle is WET. My mom's Dakota (NO RUST) has this same trouble on the windshield. I checked, and her floor mats are soaked from snow/winter etc. Steve, is there anything that you have put in your trunk that is damp/wet? Its always hard to tell what is wet in the winter, because frozen = feels dry. :-\ Do you garage your car?
  9. Connie, Kinda makes me wish I took pictures when I fixed my BRAT, that incidentally... had the same type of bottom-subframe rust that yours has. I used mild steel to fix mine btw. Ill second what GD said.... a metal brake is your best friend. Get some mild steel and bend up some U channels. Weld em through for 6 inches or so on either side of the rusty spot(s) I also know JUST what youre talking about with the "keep it or send it" thinking. I hold onto my cars WAY longer than is reasonable..... it all depends on IF IT IS WORTH IT TO YOU. If youre fed-up.... send him on his way. Nomatter what, our time with most vehicles is limited.... but you'll never lose the things they teach you along the way. You can do it.
  10. Im grumpy WITH coffee.... you should see me WITHOUT
  11. Subyrally says he's bringing the coffee.
  12. Ive had a LOT of boots ooze grease from between the boot and the cup. I wouldnt worry about it, personally. Mine always seem to do it, and even IF the boot pops off or cracks, you will definitely notice the grease slung everywhere. You can usually go a couple days (depending on driving conditions) before you will hear noise, and Ive gone YEARS with noisy, bootless axles, and never had a failure.... (but thats pushing it)
  13. Yeah, Jess and I are planning a trip down I think.... just dont know WHEN. (def. before Carlisle)
  14. wow Anybody have pictures of the process?
  15. The clock/radio/hazard fuse was the culprit on MY Loyale. Popped a new fuse in, and they worked again! However, the Control box that works the auto-seatbelts is located behind the drivers rear wheel well. Enough rust-out in that wheel well, and the next thing you know, the mini-ecu is getting sprayed with water and salt That tends to lead to troubles Hope this helps.
  16. Ill second that. Anybody have pictures? I am also leaning toward a 5 spd brat conversion (and I'd like to keep a one-pc drive shaft)
  17. You called?! Seriously... hows March 22nd? (day before Easter Sunday) Weather should be cooperative by then.
  18. Sweet! ...ALSO sweet! Dont worry about what vehicle you bring. Last year I didnt know hardly anybody.... so I came mostly for the cars/show. This year, Im coming for the PEOPLE... then the show. Bring any subie you want.... just COME.
  19. Sounds good to me.... its the newest "tradition" ....although we all may want to keep the redneck/waffle house/grits/white trash talk to a minimum till we get there. We'll end up getting our Carlisle thread locked. actually, never mind... thats the best part!
  20. Im THERE! but my valve covers just have the FHI "swish" I hope that counts. Yay! Connie's coming! WAFFLE.... HOUSE.
