  1. contact crazy-d for his profile address........ did you guys agree on a better price? was it rust free? good luck on your purchase.....
  2. Crazy-d said he's on myspace frequently as well, if you have one....
  3. worse comes to worse, i have a clear 86 brat title;)
  4. when i spoke to that kid, i thought he said he'd take $300 for it??
  5. yea, most subaru drivers around here are snotty rich women, so i don`t bother......... if i saw another brat, i`d chase them down though:) when i had my wrangler, everybody in a wrangler would wave, it was actually funny to watch.
  6. just saw the new pics. neat little coupe. that paint looks like it'd buff out pretty well, just has a haze on it from years of sun beating down on it. wish i could find me one like it, but they are non-existant around here.....
  7. cool, i`ll pm you her info she did refund me the money now, so i guess she'll be taking the $125 for it
  8. i can answer most questions about it, just let me know what you'd like to know. its a rust free gl model coupe. 93k original, 2 owners. motor ticks, so the lady brought it to her mechanic and told her it'd be $1500 to replace the motor. (i bet seafoam would fix it right up) my bet is that its just your typical subaru lifter or valve tick, and that the mechanic just saw an oppurtunity to make some big money off an unexpecting lady.
  9. well, i bought this car and was in the process of having it shipped, but the shipping company gave me the tough way to go until i just said heck with it. went out and bought a 96 impreza today, and cancelled everything with the coupe. its a nice little car. 86 carbed ea82, 3at fwd, engine runs but ticks (lifters probly) 93k original miles, cream colored, clean interior. anybody near Orange Ave in Costa Mesa CALI interested? i paid for it already, but i think i might get a refund from the lady. it was $125 for it. she has the clean title in hand. heres a pic:
  10. yeah, i`d say find one of those little under hood fuel pumps (like on a gen 1 brat) and hook it up to a lawn mower gas tank under the hood just to get it running. it may need a little starting fluid into the breather as well.
  11. also sounds good GD! i`m thinking of painting the 82 brat tan now, and making it a desert fox
  12. cool, sounds good. i`ll get them out to you on Monday
  13. not sure how i`d attatch it to the cab yet, but that shouldn`t be too hard. i`ll get some closer pics of the cap. if it was a little warmer out i`d be cutting it with the sawzall already:Flame: fiberglass doesn`t work to good when cold tho.
  14. unless you can make decals by a picture of mick's wagon, i doubt there will be any mountain grizz sets
  15. that sounds good. if i were to send you the originals, maybe we can work out a trade on a set lengthened to fit a brat. its an 8 piece set, there is a fox emblem, and "desert fox" writing that go on the hood and tailgate. so who's interested?
  16. i`m wondering if it would be possible to digitally lengthen the back piece so these can be made to fit wagons and brats as well?
  17. yeah, he seems like a very nice guy. i traded him a subaru script off my old 360 truck for a set of his brat stripes and i can`t wait to see them. sounds like they are going to be almost perfect originals. i picked up a set of originals with these desert fox decals, but they are the wrong color for me.
  18. thanks for the ideas! i was thinking of using crx hatch struts, as i already have a pair, but i`m not sure they'd be strong enough, camaro struts should be. if they weren`t something from a minivan would work as well. the brat will be getting painted soon so this might be good timing. i was also thinking of using the top section on the topper as a center section for the tonneau cover. it would probly save alot of work, plus it'd be perfectly even. then i could just lay fiberglass on both sides of it to cover the metal frame and smooth the seam over with bondo. i don`t know if you can tell by this pic, but the topper is the type that slopes up in the rear, so it would give the cover some style.
  19. hi Mick if you have an interest in them, i`d consider selling them. any possibility you would be able to reproduce them?
  20. anybody ever see or build or attempt to build a hard tonneau cover for a gen 2 brat? i like the first gen ones, not so much the louvers, but a cab level gen 2 cover would look pretty cool. i am thinking something with a wood/metal/mesh frame, wrapped in fiberglass, with struts to lift it.
