  1. isn`t that great. wish Paul would have called or emailed or something:-\ i spent a good hour digging that stuff out, now just to have to put it back where it was. oh well.........
  2. if anybody gets in contact with Andrew, please tell him all of Paul's stuff is on the lawn and ready to go. i dug it all out of the garage last night.
  3. i would bet one way or another you could make something like that work. thinking about it, the shifter on my old hatch was a b&m. it was threaded on and had a plastic insert over the old threads because the new shifter had a bigger hole to fill. i bet you can buy the plastic thread inserts somewhere.
  4. i can probly hook you up with a guy i know in Reading. he has over 10 sedans in his old car graveyard, most of which are complete.
  5. awesome, and no rush man:headbang: oh, and if you are really getting into chopping it up, i`d buy the rear wheel arches off you if you have a sawsall to chop them off with. mine are pretty rusted. i only need the section outlined in red:
  6. flush your radiator and make sure there is only correctly mixed coolant when you fill it up. too much water and it will freeze. also, take the battery and and store it in a heated place, or start the car up every week so it holds a charge. some gas treatment couldn`t hurt as well.
  7. the loyale i just bought has pretty bad rust in the back section of the rear wheel arches. would it be possible to buy a pair of front fenders, and cut out sections of the wheel well to rivet into the rear wheel wells? or would i be better off just adding metal in and covering it with flexy flairs or something?
  8. awesome man, that'll keep it high and dry i just bought a loyale that was kept like that for years, up until the last 3 winters, and now its already rusting pretty good:-\
  9. wow thanks for all the response guys.. well, i went and bought the car today. it is in great shape, exept for the drivers lower side of the door, and the rear wheel wells. Subrat, that would be awesome if you could get pics when you start your brat project. i`d like to see the stregth areas that will need to be braced. also a ladder rack sounds like a great idea for support.
  10. i am looking at a 93 loyale 4wd auto for $250 with 130k the lady is the original owner, and the car is imaculate inside, so is the engine bay. the body has a little rust here and there, but it seems worth it. do you guys think it would be possible to make it into a brat by welding the rear doors shut, and shaving the door handles? i would also make a rear cab wall to stregthen it more. would it also need more braces? wonder it i could use a toyota truck tailgate or something?? here is a rough pic of the idea (car is also identical to the one i`m looking at)
  11. Operose, Gary's over in Binghampton ny had 3 beautiful ej22s last weekend, 2 were 96s one was a 93. definatly worth a look. i also shot over to Harrys from Gary's last weekend. harry's has a crapload of ea82s and about 6 ea81s, but most ej22s were well picked over. i still like that xt6 Harrys has for sale in his used car lot, even though its $1295 and its been for sale for months
  12. i called them the other day, and ALL THE CARS ARE GONE!!! :-\ that truly is a huge shame to waste such a good collection:confused:
  13. i dig that front plate:D it looks alot better, but are you still gonna paint it up with a mopar color? (and yes, that is a cyclops light in a gen 1)
  14. if it sounds to good to be true, it probly is. here is the email i got from the seller: :-\ he offered me $100 not to buy it, so i guess that makes it a little better at least:-\
  15. hey Goobaroo where is Haddonfield? i just bought a brat in Voorhees NJ, and i currently have a hatch (pics below) if you are not too far from Newburgh NY, lets meet sometime for some offroading or something. i`m always up for some bsing about soobs.
  16. thaNKS for all the response guys. i think i mixed some of you up tho:lol: the one i just bought is the one on the ebay link with hubcaps (it will soon have alloys) my old one is the one pictured on the first post. it now lives in New Hampshire. i`ll get more pics when i pick it up. the guy is really kicking himself for selling it, as he owned it 21 years:-\
  17. thanks guys! jonas, the one pictured on my post is the one i had a few years ago, the gutters have been trashed and replaced:grin: those were aluminum wagon wheels. i think they came on 83s. it seemed like a good investment. i hate that i'm going to need to drive it this winter:-\ with the salt and all
  18. just bought this brat, so i`m pretty stoked. its almost identical to my last 85. it wasn`t too cheap, but now and days, it seems like a brat in its shape would bring around $3500-4000.what do you guys think? did i overpay? kinda bought it on impulse:lol: also there is a pic of my last one as well: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Subaru-BRAT-Subaru-BRAT-1985_W0QQitemZ110039203838QQihZ001QQcategoryZ6467QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  19. NUTS!!!! i was waiting for pics of that brat from the guy selling it but he didn`t get back soon enough. oh well, very nice score:banana: glad to see it went to a good home. if you have a chance, please post some pics. hows the body?
  20. that car had some beautiful wheels on it as well. that guy had contacted me with it probly 2 years ago, and i posted it here. i thought he told subieguy he decided not to let it go:confused:
  21. would it pass a legit inspection with the ej22t or ej22? i know it wouldn't pass the computer test in NY. i have to agree tho, a OB ej22t for under a grand would be nice.
