  1. i`m all for brake checks on tailgaters:grin: just be sure, if you ever were to do this, make sure its going to trash both cars, otherwise its just not worth it. i have noticed most the people that ride to close in my area are women with children:-\ don`t let road rage own you;)
  2. hd pipes are a great idea:brow: i`ll have to look around for some. about how long are they? how wide is the inlet? are they simular to a glasspack inside? are they angled at the top so rain won`t fall in freely? thanks Jon ps. i would be interested in buying one of yours if you want to sell and if you would ship:brow:
  3. pete, would it be possible to get a pic from the side of the rear wheels? i just want to see how well centered they would be. it seems like when you lift an ea82, the wheels sit real close to the front of the wheel wells.
  4. has anyone ever put stacks in the back of a brat? since i might be keeping my 78 brat for a beater, i was thinking of putting a single stack up through the front pass side of the bed. probly could just cut the resignator, and run a straight 2.5 inch pipe after the y pipe, and up through the bed, then connect it to a glasspack above the bed, with a nice big chrome truck tip, and a chrome heatshield to cover up the red glasspack:D i just think that would look sweet. i would have to sacrafice one of the jumpseats, but leave the drivers side jump seat there for a occasional 3rd passenger. if i keep it, i still plan to build up that fe motor, lower it, and convert it to rwd. its already got a cyclops light.
  5. hey Nicky, the brat looks great! how much did that herculiner stuff put you out? does autozone sell it? i need to do the floor in my suzuki. once again, nice brat:headbang: plus its rocking those plaid seats right?
  6. put gold wheels on this one, and it would be pimpness maxed out
  7. i was at the tent probly around noon-ish i think, but i did pass by 2 times, one time there was a couple of guys talking and looking at the white wagon, but i figured they were lookers. oh, this was on saturday. i did get a good pic of the group. i hope if you guys do this again next year, that i can make it over in a sube, hopefully the white hatch:D is your car originally from the north east? it looks sooo clean! there was alot of cool cars there, especially the micro-cars:D
  8. thats definatly pimp, nice work snoopizzle:lol:
  9. i went when you guys must have been walking the rest of the show, but i did manage to look at some of your cars:grin: Subeman, if that is your black sedan, that thing was beautiful! looks like you really took care of it. Moosens, nice wagon! looked nice and clean. NKX, nice looking wagon also! wish i could have heard it running, the big ricer muffler must sound good:D Andrew, i saw the justy, looks like that deer did some pretty good damage on it! why did you gut out the interior? anyway, hope you guys had a good time, there sure was some cool looking cars there! Jon
  10. how does July 15th sound for some of you guys? Backwoodsboy suggested it, and its open for me too, so if you would or wouldn`t be able to do that date, post here!
  11. yeah, there probly wouldn`t be much rock crawling goin on. some steep inclines are nice, but most of our subes aren`t high enough to crawl rocks!
  12. hey, i'd be glad to help you out if you need any help! finding parts, info etc.
  13. hey astro, is that Ennio Diaz's car from Houston? i almost bought that one too:lol: if i remember correctly it had a/c too. i still have the pics of the rust which looked pretty repairable.
  14. huh, all the ones i ever removed were rivetted on. drilling or prying was the only option to remove.
  15. jeez GD go easy on the newcomer:lol: lol
  16. oh, thanks for the offer jerry, there is about 3 loyales in my local yard hear, so i could probly grab the whole kit and caboodle out of one of them pretty cheap. thanks again! Jon
  17. i've been reading up on the spfi swap for a ea81, and i was just thinking, would it be possible to do this swap on a gen 1? of course, the manifold would have to be shortened a tad, but i think a decent welder could tackle that. the intake ports are the same size i believe. i think that it would be awesome to have something like this on a gen 1, smooth starts and acceleration. i was thinking of a spfi setup out of a loyale fwd 5sp, with ecu, alt, disty, etc.
  18. nice, makes me want to keep my brat:grin: the brat also has one of those woody shift knobs. that wagon wood be even sweeter with a third eye:D are you going to throw a weber on it?
  19. if you get a msd ignition control unit, it will boost your hp's well over 80, but the msd ign cont units cost $100 used:eek: you would need a msd-6 or 6a.
  20. I am really sorry man, but i ended up using that fender on my last brat, the fender that was on it got crunched in bad:-\ i might have another in back of the garage, i`ll let you know the condition of it. is yours rusted or dented? i think the one i have was rust free but dented. Nkx, thanks for the offer on that, i`ll have to see if i can bring it down. every time i come close to selling it, reallity sets in, and the fact of how hard it would be to find another clean one for 1200 bucks:eek: anyway, hope to see you guys there, and to anyone who doesn`t want to spring for a camp ground site, there is a FlyingJ truck stop on the carlisle exit. you can stay there for free, and they have free drinking water, 2 buck showers, and internet (20 cents a min usually) inside their store, usually there is also a decent restaurant inside. Jon
  21. i think there is alot of interest in buying the lifts, but not alot of interest in building the lifts:lol:
  22. looks like i will be making it to carlisle! but probly w/o a sube:mad: i`ll have to stop by and meet some of you fellas. my pop wanted to go, so what the heck. he wants to try out his monster RV thing:eek: maybe i can convince him to let me hook up the dolley and tow down the 78 brat, and parts:brow: i wonder if it would be saleable there with all the foreign car fanatics.
  23. welcome aboard Astro pics are a must:D is your 79 4wd? my aunt lives in houston, and she has a few old wagons too.....
