  1. i have used DAS 4 times, they seem very good. i usually just do terminal to terminal, where a cross country haul is like $450:D (w/o insurance) i will do some more shopping around Andrew, is that other one you are picking up that 75 coupe?
  2. i really don`t want to mess with the torsion bars, because of the offroading factor, this thing is going to be a beast offroader, just not full lifted because i need it for daily driving. i guess 1" lift blocks are the way to go. what type of material would i need to get for the lift blocks (metal of coarse)?
  3. ok, call 1-866-327-3229 (DAS auto shippers) from Scio Oregon to you in CT is $1200 from Scio Oregon to the terminal in Linden NJ is $1000 these prices are without insurance, that the way i always go on these old cars, going without insurance save you like $200, make sure when if you call to mention you don`t need insurance.
  4. what city in Oregon? i may be able to cut Matts quote in half.
  5. hey, ianhilly, how bad is your car rusted? any pics?thanks Jon
  6. is there any easy way to level out a brat with just a front 1-2 inch lift? i don`t want to go full front to back, just a front lift. is there any struts i can swap or would i need to make lift blocks for the strut tops? what else would need altering? the reason i ask is, i want a solid daily driver/weekend offroader, but i hate having the back end up in the air, and the front end sunk low, i just want it level, and still keeping the 13`s on it.thanks in advance, Jon
  7. Andrew, can i be one of the privilaged few to see it too:brow: i could possibly hook you up with some shipping. does it run? running cars are alot cheaper to ship than non running. actually, i know you usually like driving out and picking up the cars in person though
  8. hey, if you ever decide to sell it, please let me know, i have been looking for a gen 1 4wd:brow: does it grind in all 4 gears?
  9. HOLY SH#!*T how many inches, or should i say feet is that? heck your prolly out in your sube rallying around right!
  10. let me see if i can think real hard and remember where the hell it was:rolleyes:
  11. Paul, did you look at that 86 gl-10 woody wagon that was for sale a while back in CT? i went and looked at it, the woody stuff was in nice shape, but the rockers were gone. he might still have it sitting there.
  12. this post is a year old:-p i`ve already owned the 80 hatch he speaks of, and sold it:lol: Welcome to the board
  13. Andrew bought it on just those pics?isn`t that risky? i guess it looks almost rust free up front:rolleyes:
  14. SCHWEET photochopping man!! i want one of those now:slobber:
  15. you might be better of taking the 5-10 mins and dropping the rear drive shaft for a justy, i know ea81`s are alright on dollys, but a justy may not be.
  16. i wasn`t calling dibs, just asking will i ever be "allowed" to buy ANYTHING pre 74 besides 360s?
  17. hi Jack, i`m interested if you are interested in selling it. pm me with a price if possible. thanks Jon
  18. Brian is taking my old 360 right? i am still considering that wagon, it really is beautiful, i just hate to spend almost every dime i have on it. i am going to go look at a 360 pickup today, and hopefully buy it. Brian, if i get it, and you are coming east, stop by and check it out, and i will try to get ahold of that guy with the vespa 400. Jon
  19. i might be there with a 78 brat and 69 sube 360 pickup hopefully. i was thinking it would be cool to put tracks going right up to the roof on the brat, and carry the 360 truck on the back:grin:
  20. happy to see these cars all going to good homes but please, can i get a shot at the next pre 74 that comes up?
  21. Andrew you lucky basturd:lol: seriously, congrats on the nice score man could i please see the pics anyway? i have never actually even seen a real pic of one. is Andrew still getting the tailgate wagon`s also?
