  1. hi i would recomend joining the subaru 360 drivers club for $6.they have a for sale/wanted section where you might be able to find one reasonable.its tough to find real cheap ones.i would sell you my restored one for $2300, but could not take less.are you planning on adapting a different motor into it?good luck on your search, Jon
  2. the new owners for my brat came to pick it up today. i already miss it.here is a pic of the old brat and its new owners.i told them about this site, hopefully they become members so we can keep in touch.
  3. thanks for the help guys. i rewired all the speakers with stronger wire, (also found some better speakers at my local pap).i did run a constant power wire for the new system.i plan on making truck boxes in the future for speakers behind the seats since there is so much wasted space behind there.i had to pretty much destroy the original radio bezel with a hack saw to make way for the new radio/bezel adapter.i did leave all the original wires and stuff in there incase. -Jon
  4. i am in the process of putting a panasonic cd player in my brat.i am having a real hard time finding a brat wiring diagram.anybody here have one the could post?thanks for any help, Jon
  5. that is kinda strange.... i think the starter was in a different position in the earlier years of the ea71.
  6. 2004....i have to say, it is one of the sharpest vans around.she has alloys and a spoiler on it. -Jon
  7. good thing you didn`t get the sienna.my sister has one, and it has a terrible throttle lag or hesitation.also only getting 20mpg or something like that.i had it up to 120 1 time though while racing a vw toureg, but the governor kicked in (luckily my sister was not in the car :-)
  8. bar towing works real well with subes.that way all wheels are turning the same speed, it won`t tear up anything. if you are having a hard time turning in your driveway, it must be locked in 4wd.the back wheels always churp in 4wd.while towing, you want it in fwd and in nuetral.also make sure the steering is unlocked.it will be a smooth tow.
  9. interested in mine? http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum...&highlight=brat
  10. That is a nice brat indeed. i have a gen 2 you might be interested in, http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=39865&highlight=brat i know i posted in there that i decided not to sell, but i will still sell it, just don`t want to pay ebay.
  11. has anybody ever shaved the rear bumper on an rx?it looks pretty good w/o a bumper.then you could just add a fiberglass/plastic skin.just an idea, here is a quick pic of kinda what it`d look like:
  12. sounds a little high to me.i would say, offer him $1000 for it.i bet he tried to trade it in and they offered him $500. the sport wagons were very very simular, exept they have a hood scoop, rear spoiler, alloy wheels, 2 tone painted body mouldings, and stripes. good luck w/it Jon
  13. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Subaru-CLASSIC-1977-SUBARU-COUPE-ANTIQUE-CAR-IN-MINT-COND_W0QQitemZ4560857899QQcategoryZ6467QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  14. does the lady have any idea what it is worth?if she doesn`t, i would offer her 2-2500 for it.i don`t mean to take advantage of her, but don`t pay more than you have to. Jon
  15. shur is purtee is that an A.A lift?what size tires are you running?where can i get a set of smiling roof lights?
  16. hi Welcome to the club!i live in NY and also have 2 brats, 1 gen 1 (1980) , and a gen 2 (1985).i also own a subaru 360 sedan and microvan.sadly, i accepted a deposite on my 80 brat, and the people are supposed to take it later next week:banghead: .got any pics of your subes? -Jon
  17. was it that nice red one in your album?that is a shame that such a clean car would bite the dust.it could be fixed:brow:
  18. is this the one that was on ebay?i would say $2750-$3300 if it was that one.i must say, that is a real nice car.you might be able to get more, but these older subes are not worth a "real" fortune.i am no expert either.good luck with it, Jon
  19. the new ones have standard equipment heated seats.i believe the 06`s are coming out in september? jibs- i am talking low end models.GT is turbo and usually the top of legacy`s.
  20. i was looking at the outbacks a few days ago.they are real nice.belive it or not, along with the heavier suspension, the rear wheels turn 2 inches both ways to help the awd manuvering.they also have a limited slip differential which the legacys don`t.wheels and tires are bigger.personally, i am an outback fan over the others.i know of a dealer who will sell new 05 outbacks with everything exept leather and a moonroof for $20,555 which is by far the best price around.they still have blue, white, silver, and green.they are located in PA down the road from dorney park.did you drive a new one yet?they now have the +/- slap shift feature which is real fun to play with.let us know your decision -Jon
  21. me and my pop went to a PA suby dealership yesterday.he didn`t like the tribeca`s much, but he is seriously thinking about buying an outback.thet had them for $20,585 which is the absolute best price i could find.for a 4 banger in a car that big, they pull pretty nice.it had the triptronic tranny, so i ran it up to 6500 rpm in every gear just to test it.the new foresters are only 17,999.still not cheep in my eyes, but my dad is the one with the cash.i think the tribeca`s are to much of an attempt to produce the future vehicles. -Jon
