feel like grabbing a O/S person a few things. (loyale 4 spd auto shifter and matching gauge cluster. )
-
sounds like you did. do a compression check on it. think these run 9.0:1 so 135-150psi would be a good indicator. if you see that on all 4 drive it till it dies!

yep it works. there is a software package out here called Kalmaker. takes the std prom, recalibrates it and away you go. as for the engine mgt systems they are all locally made and race proven. the last megasquirt unit I saw didn't impress me as it did little more than drive an injector. at least with the GM systems it can be tuned with a stable idle. 1227165 is out of a 85-88 camaro or sunbird - if you go this route grab everything hanging off the ECU. if you are crafty remake that harness. it will only work on 4 cyl cars though. -

out of a later subaru rex - 1990 model. as for injection (mine) it runs a modified 1227808 ( or '165) delco ECU from a GM passenger car. in your case you don't really have a choice. yours has to be aftermarket. mega squirt is crap in opionion. look at:wolf 3d , microtech, haltech, motec. google any of those. -

I have an 84 model 4wd one (yes they do exist!) and I'm rebuilding it to new spec. only change is a Supercharged 700cc 4 pot and injection) original was a 993cc (EF10) I also have a smaller version of it (google subaru 700 or REX) as well. -
found a set!!
