i have a set of 15's on my other subaru, so i could switch the wheels. i was thinking of a 205/70/15. i won't have any problems with rubbing the struts will i. i think the 205's will be about a 26" i just found these http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Yokohama&tireModel=Geolandar+A%2FT-S&vehicleSearch=true&partnum=07SR5GEOATS&fromCompare1=yes&place=39&speed_rating=S&speed_rating=T&speed_rating=U&speed_rating=H&speed_rating=V&speed_rating=Z&speed_rating=W&speed_rating=Y

took it to another garage and they got them off. i guess the other side was the same way. -
so your saying the car doesn't crank. if so i've had 2 do that and both times it was the starter. i replaced it and have not had any problems since. the check engine, take the cover off thats below the steering column. i think something like 10 screws. somewhere on the left side should be 2 single wire black plugs. they might be tucked behind something so you will have to look. plug them together and turn the key on. the light will flash the codes. long and short flashes.

in my haynes manual it says their should be 30 ohms between pins 1 &2. i got 6.1 ohms ^ [1 2] [3 4] i also checked my other sensor and got the same. then it says to check pin 2 on the engine wiring and i got .017v. i also got 12v on pin 1 ok just checked my other subaru and got 10.1 ohms between 1&2. but i was thinking that can't be the problem because the sensor that i took out had about 10. ohms.

a few questions
pamike replied to pamike's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVX
it has 160,000 miles. it does it regardless of speed. i was going like 5 mph and the car shook. it takes more pedal pressure than normal to stop it, compared to other subaru's i've drove. i will have to try pulling the abs fuse. -

nipper: if one of the things you listed was the problem, would the car still drive normal. the car feels perfectly normal otherwise. if it was one of the calipers wouldn't it pull the car to one side. to my it feels like the whole brake system is vibrating not just one wheel.
