if i had wagon wheels on it i would do gold woth chrome "glory rings and lug nuts" but i put a set of aluminum turbo wheels the checker looking ones. hard to explain but they came on alot of gl 10 turbo wagons. any who im gonna have them polished so thay are blingin as well. i might do the lugs in gold with the polished aluminum wheels. yeah baby. over all i think it will be sweet. i do think im gonna clear coat them just to preserv the gold leaf. ill take pics after i geter badged up. PS any one knowa good adheasiv for puting them back on i know th double sided tape from 1980 isnt what i want to go with now.

ok so i began painting the 1980 gl5 wagon today color theam is black,gold and silver. because of the tan intiror i didnt want to go all black. so i went and got the emblems and used gold leaf to do this i think they look prety good what do you guys think. i also did the (subaru) ones on the fenders.

i hear that if you use some ATF mixe it with your oil it should break them lose PS. what you doin today??

yes i aslo would like to knowa rough number so i can get the right about of supplys for the BBQ. remember when you get to the gravel RD. i will have signs up (paper plates) that have GURU on them just fallow nad you will find the camp. depending on how many people show up it might be just today but if alot of people show up then it can be an overnighter so let me know people i will probly be heading up ther aobut noon or so.

crapachi ROUND weber SQUARE that should help weber has more of a square mouth on it with square butterflys. the hitachi has around mouth and you only have one butterfly in the top for the choke. am i right correct me if im wrong.

lol i gota set of fel pro head gaskits for my gf ea81 turns out it wasent the headgaskit. but good thing becuase the HG the parts place got was for a 1600. (ea71) i had them settin was gonna go trade them fora spare set of ea82 HG but then i fell into a SWEET rust free ea71 gl-5 1600 5speed wagon. :-p so if i ever need to change the HG i can. tho i dont think i will have the car long enough (PSSSSS ITS FOR SALE 500 ) let me know

ok so i havent tryed it yet but it should work its justa simple vacume. ok so you go to your local ranch and home or farm equiptment sales place and get a sirenge the things you use to give shots. get the bigger one it shouldent havea neadle on it. ok now take the seringe (idk how you spell it) and pull the plunger out of it take your lifter and put it in the tube then ad oil enough to cover lifter (have your finger over the little hole) then put the plunger in point the little hole up and push the air out, untel the fluid reaches the hole. then plug the hole and pull on the plunger this should pull the oil into the lifter. pullingthe air out. now in theory this should work just simple vacume. but i havent tryed it so if any one is doing lifters try this. and let me know i will be doing this next time i have to do lifters.

i have lol let me think. a 1989 suabru 5speed 4x4 D/R gl wagon(no title) best condition car i own well have. then a 1982 2wd 5 speed gl wagon parts car. a 1986 gl10 turbo wagon trading to (the bush) for his 91 loyale. of course Tiny my 86 brat extended cab d/r 5speed. a white 1985 5speed d/r gl wagon used to be a driving car. had no tittle so now it is stripped. my cute little 1980 gl-5 wagon 1600 2wd 5 speed cherry condition 30mpg DD. and uhhhh oh my 86 subaru compleatly stripped for the trailer project. and i wonder why peopl look as they drive by my house:rolleyes: i will always own a subaru i will own other cars at the same time but will always have a subaru in my drivway. yeah i didnt see anyhting about no motor vehicles and the manashtash camp grounds wernt on the list so its still on i will put a large R/T on paper plates so no one gets lost. and its friday and saterday. so you know

it has compression but i guess bring it over and we can check it.

well all i have to go on is carfreak said it was a good engine i changed the headgaskit and put it in and it wont start i torqued the heads and all.

i checked everything i know i did the timeing rite im going to check everything again but idk.

ok so i put this engine together and it wont start. it gets spark and fule and air but still it just kinda chuggs. ughghghg what are some small things that i coulda overlooked:-\ Rob

no i dint reuse the old headgaskit i had a set of headgaskits that where for an engine that snapped a wrist pin. i didnt use them on the bad engine so i used them on this one
