i here that if u run your car down to a gallon or less and put in about a quart of rubbing alcohol in the tank with the one gallon it will burn cleaner. (for smog testing)

ok so coming back from bratsrus the other day and lj and i were talking about if subaru made a car with straight axle well........:-p i got to thinkig what if i took a subaru diff and used the stubs from the axles and wlded them to the diff so they came out straightmakinga solid axle(no u joints) and then useda thick walled paice of steel pipe to slide over the axle weld that to the diff forming a case for the axle. then have a sealed baring at the end to keep it in the center. put another stub on the outside end of the shaft.(this will go through the hub) thus making a sort of straigh axle you could weld shock mounts to the thick wall pipe and mount it under your soob. im thinking it would look like this. i am the master of the paint program :lol: or you could just geta set of straight axles :-p

hey i was wondering if i can swap my power steering rack out with a new one withougth taking the crossmember out ? is this possible ?

i have seen them at schucks i the fuse section they are really neat

i hate them as well i am getting a newer fuse box and getting glow blows when the fuse blows a filiment inside lights up so if i have a problem i just have to see what one is lit up. :cool:

hey guys after getting the car going(ea82 gl wagon) i noticed the fuse block is getting extreamly hot next to the black fuse there are two thick white wires going to the bottome of that link. i dotn think i crossed anything. and i have looked. any one know what it could be ? thanks Rob

i understand and i am gona be doing what i need befor this car ever gose off road or on road im ging to be testing it i have already tried to break my welds me and a couple of friends bounced the back of the car slamming it on the ground and everything held also my doors open and shut very well. i dont het any flex from my side walls. also thanks for the info on the bolt miles i havent heard theat befor.

ok i am NOT gonna put a roll bar in it just yet i dont go and rally the hell out of my car i do mud pits and trails. now im shure someone els is gonna come on here and say "you need a roll bar!!!" for the time beng i DO NOT NEED a roll bar. i know how to make a roll bar i know what they look like. but i dont need one. i know and trust my welds. im not trying to sound like an azz but i know whait i can and cannot do to my car. yeah i think im gonna cut mine infront of the b pillar and leav the roof on ti then make ita cargo trailer:Flame: because of my new hatchXcab i wont have as much inclosed storage so i will cut my trailer car in two peices the cut will be right infront of the b pillar, leaving the rear doors on it amea wall and put a toung on it this will put the axle in the middle of the setup:). i am also thinking that i could make ita camp trailer just make a flip out frame for a bed to lay on ans it can hang out the back of the car. i will photoshope and show

just because its an off road rig dosent meen it has to be ugly i like my soob and i want to be proud to be seen in it not layd back behind the b pillar

started o n it today i will not post pics of my welds because they are good awful ugly i am a WELD nad GRIND guy. in other words i weld the hell out of it the grind it to make it look nice. you will also find that i am a guess and checker but thats another story. yes the bondoing the rear door thing is in my todo list glad you guys are liking it will take pics of... um the grinds

i know what you meen. how hard is it to just geta new handle for ike u said 5 bucks. instaed lets use vise grips YA!! horrable horrable. if the doors are the same i say just swapp them over soo much easyer than pulling all the window crap out. just my 2 cents.

lol actualy i was thinking of that and i might just weld the tailgat in too just for the fact that it isnt ever gonna be higher than i can lift something and if it is... well than what ever i can put in ther dosent need to go thus adding the "box" effect back

i will see how much it still flexes after i weld it then i have some square steel framing that i can use that will be good for a roll bar. hell yeah im gonna get it done for the 21st

well when i weld the rear doors shut on the inside and the outside that will ad alot of the muscle back to the body also the hatch is gonna be welded in to the body.the triangular wholes are going to have a plexyglas window but its not plexy its some new type of plastic.

you know ther isa guy here who hasa turbo wagon and he has thos wheels on it OMG i wanted it so bad nad still do. but i met the guy and he turned out to be a real bum i know its rude but he is really untidy and i gues devorced because he said the car has a lean on it for back child support. but im not one to judge poor car is sitting undera tree in his back yard rotting way wit hthe rest of the house and autos.(sorry for hijacking) i have a set of snowflakes make me an offer i have a pic in a thread somewhere
