yeah its easy when you have a hellicoil or tap set but i dotn so i just did the head

i hate them i hate them i hate them with a passion. so im building an engine for The bush and i get it all built and go to put the header on come to find out the holes are stripped. so i have to pull it all apart and put another head gaskit on it and put a head i have laying around on it. and hope that it works AHHHHHH stupif freakin car. im glad im getting rid of it. now i know why you hate them caboobaroo

thanks scott yes it will be the one i take up on ym b day. the weinch isa 200 pound and i did use it last winter (pulled my gilfriends truck out of a snow bank) i havent had to use the block yet. and it has a windsheild now

ok so this all started when i went to Jerrys house in selah. i went down just expecting to get some parts for my car and chat a bit well jerry and i struck a friendship up and as i started getting into his hatch brats (ALMOST THE COOLEST MODDED SOOBS IVE EVER SEEN) i started to look at my 86 gl and thought it was time for a makeover. the next day i went out and got some blades for my skill saw. marked off the lines and cut away. as i removed the roof of my car all theas ideas started to pop into my head and i realized that i could do what ever i wanted to this car i had the tools i have the metal i have the know how. so i started on it. i ripped the interior out from behind the front seats back. i modded the hatch to fit behind the front seats i rewired it to work the break light in the window and the rear windhield wiper. i have been looking fora lift kit for my car for ever. and it hit me WHY DONT I JUST BUILD MY OWN. so i am thats the next thing on my list. here is what i have so far it is the one and only brat X cab. from when i first got this car to how it is now.

i know what he meens i ride in my buddys newer,faster,more expensive cars all the time and say to myself man i would like to have one of these. nice air conditioned,sterio,bigger engine,but then i get home and my heart gose to that special place to where my subaru is being all it can be all the time. and the only time it ha left me strandid is when it runns out of gas. i have the best times of my life in my home built,Daily driver,off road,some times parts car subaru and i wouldent trade it for a million bucks

hey all i am building a trike mostly because i have a good subaru but it has no tittle and the court here in ellensburg is well retarded and you have to do so much just to get things done. so i am gonna take the tranny and engine and build a trike. but i dont want to waist a good tranny becuase it's a 4X4 d/r. i want to know if ther is any way to run an ea82 on an ea81 tranny i know you can put an ea81 on an ea82 tranny but is it reversable i know i would need a 2wd flywheel. know how to do everything els but? im just curious.

eh i was gonna say i put new ones in an ea82 1.8 and a wrist pin went so they are just setting in a ziplock baggie in oil. i paid 200 for all 8 but id sell them for 100 bucks flat.
