82 remote ignition
hey all i am puting a remote start in my 82 wagon and they dont have a diagram on the site for an 82. xt and legacy and baja all those newer cars but not 82 so im going to have to find out what wires are for the marker lights and headlights and horn are theas all just from under the stearing wheel like from the swiches? just wondering thanks.

GREAT NEWS. ITS NOT THE HEAD GASKIT WOOOOOHHHOOOOOO YAY:banana: :banana: After close inspection well looking around the engine i found that one of my rad. hoses blew off. OH THANK HEAVEN. i am so releaved i am gonna changethe oil pump today and replace the hose and fire it up. :burnout: :burnout: :burnout:

i know i know but i couldent just leave it have u seen what happens to cars theat get left i nthe hills and i made it safe and yes the HG blew i will just fix it and park it for a wile im gona be doing alot of work to it for winter. so i will just drive my 82

ok today wasent the best i took tiny up to lions rock it was doin ok runnin a little warm but nothing bad made it there then shortly after it started makinga light sqweeking noise so i started to worry so i left back for town (LJ was here with me too in his soob) it started running really bad really really bad then just sh**y so i stopped and looked after it died and the crank pully had come off the nut loosend up and came off needles to say we couldent find it and i didnt have another with me so i pulled the belts off and started it up then started going again made it to the down hill shut the car off it cools down and i coast down to the bottom of the hill almost to town starting it every 3 or so miles to get spead then shuting it off. close to home and then the hood yeah the hood flys up BASHES the windsheild MY NEW WINDSHEILD AHHHHHGHGHGHDFDF so now im pissed even mor so i get out tie it tie it down cause now its bent to fu** so i get almost home the engine is warm getti ng hotter and a stupid arse ina jeep is sitting at a green light i have no hor and i am yelling at him to move when the cherry on my sh** sunday arives the head gaskit blowes :mad: so i hook to LJ and he pulls me the three blocks home AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. so know i get to pull the engine and replace the head gaskits and intake gaskits again. should i just upgrade to an ej i have a line on one here in the JY how hard is it.

ok so after a little cleaning i discover i have a Nippondenso coil and disty lol so i re installed the denso and got a new cap and rotor and install it fires up on the first try :banana: :banana: ITS ALIVE TOOK IT AROUND THE BLOCK AND ITS ALIVE WOOH HOOO lol so the disty cap for a denso is 9 dollers more than a crapachi one but W/E it runns great and i have no leaks.. so in closing what is better denso or hitachi idk why but i like the word NIPPONDENSO sounds expensiv:) and if its expensiv its good:headbang:

ok im gonna try the old one today but it is a late 80s carbed ebgine 4wd dr gas engine lol just a plain old soob it i think the disty from the parts engine is from an older car i meen the engine is from an older subae one with a diferent disty still an ea82 just an older one so i think that is the problem cause it had this problem befor i did the reseal. it ran befor i swapped the disty

BUMP ok so i guess i wil have to be a pioneer of this i have my old disty so im gona try it out tomorow when i get a cap for it yea the caps where diferent on them too so i will let yall know cause i can tell u are just baffald and want to know lol

Side Trim
im just gonna remove my trim all together on my 82 i think it will look cleaner if any one is interested in it they can have it for oh say 20 bucks its a little dinged and bent but its good am keeping the crome bumpers and rings for the tail lights thats just style ther

the disty on it came off of a carbed engine it is the same engine as mine and it worked then i put another one in it but this one came from an older ea82 it didnt have the little module in it tho.

dose the disty mater like can i use the type With the two wires insted of the one with the plug the one i took off had alot of wires and stuff in it this one dosent have hardly anything. also the cam came frome the same type of engine.

ok are all subaru cams the same like ea82 ones cause i used a cam from a my parts engine due to the one on mine had a groov in a lobe. ok so i went through the timing method to the letter and then did the 8 btdc for the disty and it still wont run. i did replace the disty becuse it had play in it went from the plug one to the 2 wires is that wrong ?? really need my car guys pleas let me know what i might have done wrong:confused:

ok I DID A SEARCH now having that said my ea82 is poping out of the carb it runns ok at idle but still sputters them POPs real loud out the carb when revved so i was thinkiing timeing but i have it perfect (so i think) timing belts done i have done then 4 or 5 times no prob so thats good but the disty is what im thinking i herd that it was sposed to be at 8 so i tryed that no luch so i tryed at zero cause i saw that in the TB. how to in the usrm and now it idls ok but still pops any one know any info ????

well i think its right like on the front of the engine ther is a groove in the front of the crank shaft dont you keep those straight up and fown and put the fly wheel on lined up at the three lines ?
