Sept. naches run
kaner flats, milk lake, tripod flats, summit/manashtash ridge (which includes the goofy and moon rocks), lilly pond lake... definately at least a 3 day trip. not sure about taking the naches trail over. depends on whether i'm trailering the toyota over. and whether i'll be running propane or not. we'd be camping out at kaner flats or another little camping area we used to go to across the little naches river from kaner flats. i'm writing an email back to the sheriffs dept to request new maps. the ones they sent me a few years ago, were stolen on this last deployment with all my other stuff.

Sept. naches run
i know this is far off. and well after i'll be back in washington. but i've been trying for years to get a weekend trip to naches going. . it'll be my self held welcome back run.no specifics as of now, but sept. is after the main fire season and when it should start getting wet again. and i should have the toyota on the trail... with luck. otherwise i'll be sporting the soob. . subarus, yotas and heep's are welcome.depending on how many people want to come, is whether i get an event permit or not. semi organized event, i'll be heading up some of the runs, and i like making trail itinerarys... . subaru requirements:. 1.8L or larger engine. welded rear. lift. d/r tranny. no fear of body damage... rolling or difficult trails...

(Yes, I read the sticky) 27" SSRs On Loyale Without Lift?
adjustable struts, and lift... yes, be smart about this and put a lift on it... i've ran them with a lift on an ea81. and i still had to trim and beat the heck out of the fenders with a sledge and use a sazall...work smarter not harder....

- Hey you offroaders using welded diffs!!
i've had one front birf go, 2 front cups, 6 or 7 rear stub shafts, broke john's welded diff, blew up the spider gears on an open diff, 2 rear axles sheared on the shaft, and a couple rear cup/bearing failures... all ea81 parts. not that the ea82's are much different in design.- Hey you offroaders using welded diffs!!
yeah, i never broke anything till i got the second t-case... now i find all the weaknesses in the rearend...- West Coast Subaru Show 9 is set!!

southwest meet april 6-8 southern cali, superstition mountains, el centro, ca- southwest meet now in april
easter weekend, should be a good weekend. april 6th to the morning of the 8th. superstition mountains. i'll try to post directions tomorrow. i got a map with directions from the I8. hope to meet you and see you there. i'll probably bring one more rig or 2 from yuma.some of the trails may be difficult runs. i don't know about bypasses on on of the trails. the rest should be fine with a mildly modified subaru.- Hey you offroaders using welded diffs!!
you can remove it. it's better. but i can't, my car is rear wheel drive. welded rear and lsd in front. it handles great for a subaru. ain't the best on the street. but after you learn the quirks, it comes second nature, to compensate for the rear end being locked. but if you are still fwd, then disconnect a rear axle and stay in fwd on the pavement.- did some rock crawling in my soob today
no pics, no real comments... lol... here's a cookie. :applause: poser shots work too... solo=no excuse.... j/k- Toyota snow wheelin trip.(pics & video)
