  1. Mark it with some paint, or a sharpie. I'm pretty sure thats the only way it'll come fully apart. The blades are held in each housing and connected by that shaft.
  2. You're joking right.... It has at least 25 hp:grin:
  3. Have you tried taking the nut off the inlet side wheel. The one that holds the impeller shaft together... I just noticed it was still there in your pics...
  4. The lack of power, and me not knowing that an ej22 would swap right in was the sole reason I didn't buy a 97 brighton back in '00
  5. If you weren't so bloody far away I could do it myslef in 4 hours at night, lol
  6. As for your corner lights you'll have to find some dl units, the gl's are wider up front. As for most people posting on here about GL's, unless its something intirely related to trim level, they are all the same...
  7. A brighton model in 97 would still have the ej18 under the hood.
  8. 20 ga or thicker will be ideal for the floor pans. I've used 22 ga stainless and it seems to be plenty strong though
  9. They are slighly bigger, you'll have to change the whole knucke though for the caliper to bolt up. And then the stock ea81 wagon wheels won't clear them.... Nevermind your brat has alloys... You should be good to go...
  10. www.subarugenuinepart.com has the gaskets for you, btw...
  11. I'm gonna say that is a 99 2.5RS with the 98 gold wheels... Or a 98 2.5RS with stock wheels... Considering thats the only two years wr blue was offered on them.
  12. The gen 2 cressida is what my friend had. He's always had this dream of getting another in good shape with all the options like his 86 had, and going a 1jz-gte 2.5L swap.
  13. I keep forgetting that most of you guys are in smog country. Smog Country FTL!!!!
  14. Pretty much yeah... You'll need 2 valve cover gaskets, 4 grommets, and you might as well do an oil change too in case you get some dirt in there on accident. Honestly, it wouldn't be a bad time to adjust your valve lash as well, while you have it opened up.
  15. There isn't. Phiz photoshopped that one...
  16. The cressida would be an excellent choice, I've put one of them through hell and back. And they are cheap in these parts too. Don't kill a galant vr-4, they are about as rare as a good brat or xt...
  17. I got the pleasure of doing them on a friends 02 RS about 2 months ago because it was doing the same thing and he freaked when we changed his plugs.
  18. Yeah. I saw another one today while I was car shopping with a friend...
  19. For $75 what have you really got to lose?
  20. The oil most likely dripped down to the threads when you took the plug out. The grommets on the valve cover for the spark plug tubes are probably leaking. Do you see any oilly residue on the white body of the plug?
  21. Wow, I'm glad nobody was hurt. Friday the 13th was a bad day for me too, but we won't get into that here. These cas hold up really well in the cabin area. A testiment to their design.
  22. I've never seen any impreza with a 4 bolt. I've been around a few 2wd 93's and the were 5 lug. I don't remember if they were 13" wheels or not though.
  23. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=5854&cat=689 Here are a few pics from Ed's galleryof a s/c ej22 with a water to air i/c.
  24. That still ultimately limits his upgrade possibilities. But may be better for him in the short term depending on money and skill level.
  25. You'll never find a car called blue bird here... Unless its been imported
