  1. I like the different center caps on the 4 spokes... Too bad I can't even find the regular ones:dead:
  2. Whats it doin with that under there....
  3. It would probably help if I remember what I read in the first post, huh.... I've seen a few bad rump roast looking wagons in my day. That one is up there with the best of them....
  4. I haven't read a whole lot into it. But that seems to be the issue on that particular hybrid. If all goes together well this sounds like a neat little beast... What will it go in?
  5. Now that is what I was looking for... Time to read the usrm...
  6. You'd have to know me. If I'm not tinkering with something I'm not happy...
  7. You'll probably run into the coolant port on the head gasket issue like on some of the ej22 dohc hybrid motors. Other than that I don't see why it wouldn't work...
  8. The ej20 will bolt right into place and using all your original sensors run off the ej22 ecu with no issues. IIRC the ej20 is rated at slightly more power than the ej22, but less torque.
  9. I'm gonna definately throw the 3at to the curb eventually, lol. I can't stand autos at all. But I'm willing to deal with it for a month or so while the hatch is down getting it's attention:burnout:
  10. That gl-10 should be a 5 spd fwd. It will bolt in place, but you'll lose your 4wd, and the shift console won't fit the new lever's position.
  11. The pistons are interchangab;e, its the stroke that is the key difference in the bottom end. I also remember somthing about the heads being a diferent bolt pattern.
  12. I'll have a look at it. I would think though that slop would progressively get worse. He's had the car a little over a year now I think and he said its stayed the same, but its something to look at... I'm gonna give it the whole once over since I'll have it for a week or so before I tag and insure it...
  13. Is it a 5spd or 4spd. ALL EA81 4wd are 4spd. And the EA82 will be 5spd. If you are swapping back over to an ea81 4sd 4wd you'll have to swap out driveshafts with it.
  14. I'm not big on the autos at all, but I'm picking up a low mileage 84 wagon with the 3at 4wd trans in it towards the end of the month. Owner says the car runs absolutely perfect except it will no pull out in D. He has to pull out in 1, then shift to 2, and then to D. Anything I can do to fix it quick and cheap. This will be my DD while the hatch gets a few things over the course of July and August.
  15. Are you sure it doesn't have airbag suspension? There is no way in hell an 88 has an airbag unless somebody stuck a 92+ legacy steering wheel on it. In which case its useless.
  16. The height adjustable struts were only available on the 85-86 ea82 body 4wd.
  17. You won't see an 89 model year legacy in the states. It may have been manufactured in 89, but rest assured it was marketed as a 1990. Legacies did not have airbags untill 1992. Also, for an 88 model, it will either be a GL-10, GL, or DL. Parts are not that hard to find really, most auto parts chains will have parts for them either on hand or in the warehouse. Oh, and Leone was their name in the overseas markets. Not here. DO YOUR RESEARCH, LOL
  18. If the blank is the right size you walk up to him and say here...
  19. I've done that in a stock brat on the hills around here. So I don't even want to imagine almost double the hp and 50% more torque...
  20. If it was mine you know I would, lol... This one belongs to another member, I just posted them up
  21. I thought this was the same one... I was tempted to go to the bank for that one... But then I remembered both bank and loan are four letter words...
  22. If you drive him, every conceivable problem that has ever been discussed on this board will occur... Twice.
  23. I know the fellow, I'm pretty sure it had somewhere around 218k on the sensor...
  24. Yes, lol, that is a bad one... While searching the threads you'll find a couple pictures I posted of where the sensor is if you have any trouble. www.rockauto.com is a good place to get them cheaper than dealer.
  25. For those of us who don't have myspace, here's his new toy. I would like to add that this Brat is in really good shape compaired to some I've seen in and around his area. Good find!!!
