  1. For the STi's A buddy had a bone stock one a while back. I ran it on a semi local dragstrip. 13.6 at 97mph on a very hard launch, with no wheelspin
  2. Here ya go. I used the stock hole at the front of the sliders and drilled the new one at the back of them. That way I kept the relation to the pedals and dash close to stock. These are the redrilled ones, its about an 1" to 1.25" difference in the particular seat model I have.
  3. Phizinza has done a big job on a d/r ej tranny over in australia. Hopefully he might have some insight.
  4. ^^^^ YIKES... Somebody should really inform some of the drivers out there that do this stuff that a tow bill is cheaper than risking lives.
  5. If you want some pics of the modified seat sliders, just let me know. One is still out of the car currently.
  6. They are fast, a whole lot faster than any other legacy. I've had the fortune to drive an 05 LGT 5MT, with some bolt ons. That thing is absolutely the fastest family car I've been in, Period.
  7. 293hp to be exact. I read somewhere that auto makers have been required to rate the motors with all accesories, ac/ alt/ ps, spinning in order to give consumers a more accurate power figure.
  8. Those 2.3's are pretty good runners, a buddy of mine got a BIG suprise from a turboed capri one day in his civic. All I could do was laugh...
  9. Well its not in a ea to ej conversion. But when I pulled the motor out of the 91 T-leg for reseal yesterday. The motor mounts were torn in half on both sides. Just fell completely apart without any provocation. Round mounts BTW, and the first ones I've seen with the locating nub.
  10. I saw those a little while back. Have you decided on the engine of choise yet?
  11. Do you have any new photos of the progress. I'll admit at first I was appalled at the thought of the brat/merkur merger. But its definately neat, and I'll aplaud you on your saving the two from the scraper.
  12. Thats a sweet looking hatch, is it yours?
  13. Unless it was owner by a complete tool, its the stock defector some of them came with.
  14. Hmmm, that looks like the oil that came out of my 95 brighton wagon's original motor... I would say its time for a tranny, you could probably get a used one for less that you'd pay for a nice dependable beater, and have it in within a day(weekend depending on mechanical ability/experiance) And please, give the PO a swift kick in the junk for doing a redline drop.
  15. Yes, mucho ventilation needed. And probably some unhappy neighbors and enviromentalists... With that said if you were closer I'd help torch it off:headbang:
  16. I too am amazed that thing didn't break. I've seen and done some pretty good damage to cars, and not seen that happen before. I'm just glad you were able to keep the car under control, and that nobody was hurt because of it. Was this on the white wagon? Edit: Any pics of the wheel?
  17. That aircraft grade stripper might be worth a shot. Or some sort of automotive solvent/ stripper. I'll make a call to our supplier tomorrow if I can remember it while I'm at work and see what they have to say. Other than that, wire brush on an angle grinder and a ton of time.
  18. Yeah, I'm giving kingbobdole my vote for best looking xt6 EVAAAR.
  19. YES... And they feel like they have a flatter torque curve as well, comparing my mom's 98 to the 95, 90, and 90 I've owned.
  20. Around yes, but not offered here since the 94 MY.
  21. Well, I had a set of 3A Racing seats in my 86 Brat. I used the stock sliders from the decrepid seats that were in it. Drill 4 new holes, one per slider and used the stock screws to hold them on. They bolted right into place perfectly...
  22. Thats just pimptastic ma brotha. PIMP DOWN PIMP DOWN!!!!!
  23. There is a shop in Johnson City, TN that custom makes them. I'll try to find the name. Its posted on a local forum, but i can't get on for some reason...
  24. This is usually done with dohc ej25 heads. And there shouldn't be any issue with the uppipe or downpipe that I'm aware of. Its been gone over in detail on www.legacycentral.org as well.
