  1. AMEN!!!! I hated the bugeys's for a while, but I can't say that I don't like them now... Hell, in late 1989, when I was 6, I saw my first legacy and was like what is this. Give it a year or so for the new look to settle, and to experiance this new suspension design the Impreza line has gotten. People will be all over it then.
  2. I've used the "universal" wire in bosch o2's before with no problem at all. Used for about 10k miles before I sold the car earlier this year, not subaru but ya know...
  3. Get a friend to move the 4wd selector, and you look under the hood, on the transmission. There is a lever that should be seen with the spare tire out. It is the 4Lo lever, if it moves with your buddy shifting the selector, check under the car at the point where the selector level goes into the tranny itself, this is the 4Hi lever. If both move like they should your problem is internal.
  4. Well, to add more frustration to the stupidity... I plugged the wiring back up for the reverse switch and 4wd indicator that I unplugged earlier. And now its not blowing the damned fuse....
  5. No, the rear bumper is still std model, there isn't any real difference so I left it alone. I'm feeling like its more coincidence than conversion related myself. It didn't do it imediatly, just started out of nowhere yesterday afternoon. Untill I get my hands on a multi-meter and start chasing wire gremlins I've just unplugged the conector on the trans for the 4wd and reverse lights. Drove it around for an hour or so today, using reverse quite a few times with no problems.
  6. Well I thought that at first as well. But all I did was clip the plugs from the old side marker and turn signal and crimp them to the ones that go to the bumper mounted signal and new side marker. I haven't wired up the new high beams yet. I'm waiting on a trip to the junk yard to get a GL hatch wiring harness to pair up with my Brat dash.
  7. Ok, I just did the 4 square headlight conversion and gl bumper to my 87 std hatch. Now whenever I put the car into reverse it blow the ignition coil fuse. Any Ideas?
  8. They should be identical, or at least should be pretty close by design. I don't see why it wouldn't work out with minor modifications
  9. Hey, where in Ireland do you live. My mom is originally from Clouna. She was just over there about two weeks ago and said she didn't see any subaru's at all. It is good to see that there realy are some around.
  10. Man, I gotta tell ya that you are doing a great job on the Outback. You should be very proud of your work. Keep it up!!!
  11. Here's a site I got the intake for my 95 from a few years back. You won't find a better price for something that actually fits. www.cosmoracing.com
  12. I've had this happen to me before. In my case the speedo cable was just worn out and had broken in two. If this is the case with yours, all I can say is that it is possible to change without taking out the guage cluster, but you'll need limber hands. Good Luck
  13. From what I've read, the general consenus for the 91 model year is yes. 92-94 not even an option.
  14. Ummm. My auto 91 T-leg has a vlsd. So this is also incorrect.
  15. How much stiffer than n/a springs are the ones on the turbo cars of this vintage?
  16. Auto's will be 3.70 open diff. manuals will be 3.90 open diff.
  17. None of them came stock with an lsd diff. But can be converted to such.
  18. You could go with a coilover setup. Most of the ones for Subaru's are universal, but its probably not the best way to go. And I wouldn't heat the springs, it will effecively make them loose their spring rates, thus riding like crap
  19. Or if you are meaning for the spring pin at the tranny side you'll need a straight punch. I can't remember the size off hand, but it IS NOT 1/4 inch, that will get stuck real quick.
  20. Excelent. I was about to ask this same question. I may be picking up an 84 t-wagon in a week or so
  21. The only good thing about the rake, it looks like you are hard on the brakes and eating the camaro for dinner
  22. Excelent.. Any interior shots? I wanna see what you've blacked out. And what did the car run, I'm sure it was pretty good considering the mod list.
  23. 95 EJ22 heads have roller rockers already. Is there a difference between the ej18's rockers that make them better?
  24. Nice car my friend. Not so big on the rake, but still super nice. BTW... What did you run at the drag strip?
