doesnt the rear window sit in the body like a windscreen? because if that is the case wouldnt any window trim work?

The final torque spec on this engine is 48ftlbs. I took it to 49.

so i did the headgaskets on my friends car 91 ea82 NA. exhause had been leaking into the coolant making it murky. also coolant in the oil. after the work the problem persisted. so i got a replacement passenger side head with 100k on it. had it resurfaced and installed with a fresh gasket. now the problem still exists. my only guess is the drivers side head is bad but before i tear into it for a 3rd time does anyone have any other options of what could be causing this. it does not burn coolant off just forces it into the overflow tank. coolant in the oil as well looks like chocolate milk. looks kind of tasty actually. thanks in advance for any thoughts on this im getting fed up with this pos. could someone post what torque specs they use? i used the FSM specs and it seems like a small amount of torque

What model is that carb? Does anyone make a rebuild kit for these?

Is there a PDF or cut away for my Carb. It's on a 77 1600 and I'm having a he'll of a time getting it to work right, feel like Im missing pieces to it or something, will idle for about 15 seconds then die unless I keep giving it gas. This has to be the most overly designed carb ever

Do you know anything about fitting rear discs on a gen1? I have an old set or ea82 discs laying around

mine is weird. it has the rear def. night day mirror. and other dl sport coupe items but no clock and no tach.... guy told me 77 but without the marker lights and the turn signals inside the headlights i imagine its a 75-76. it also has the starter top mount 5 speed

wagons coupes sedans. anything. and any information like years, options, model, engine, and tranny/drivetrain

need pictures of dashes mainly the climate control ash tray stereo area. i wont even show you mine but i think i may have figured my coupe to be a 76 dl sport since it has the rear def and the night day mirror. also pictures of grills would be cool too. and pedal assembly's. i have a lo of work to do and am having a hard time figuring out how everything is supposed to look/be. thanks in advance guys. pictures soon to come!

i am all for your ej idea. i have a 77 coupe (maybe older i think now have to get a title for it to find out) i want to do a ej33 with a legacy 5spd fwd tranny. pm me maybe we could help eachother along. bounce some ideas

another question i thought i would add to this. i have an extra set of ea82 rear discs will these fit?

has anyone ever swapped a ej into a ea71 or ea63. i want to put a 2wd ej drivetrain or a awd ej drive train into my 77dl coupe. just wondering if anyone could shed any light on this, thanks!

What about 2wd ej? I don't wanna ruin a classic but I want a more Modern drive train in a classi looking car. Gave up a newer gti for this. Best decision ever hah!

Hey guys just rejoined the Subaru world again tonight. Bought myself a 1977 dl coupe. Very VERY straight. Almost no rust just one small hole on one fender the rest are 100% solid. 5spd 2wd pictures soon to come

is the engine in a 96 ob noninterference? its a ej25 i believe. timing belt snapped

I did the head gaskets on my uncles 91 legacy wagon and now when I start the car it ticks really loudly. I tried reinstalling the belt quite a few times but it still ticks. So can It run with maybe 1 tooth off but tick? Also the rad it not installed.

i wish i wouldnt have had seen the orange one because now my green one is boring :-\

it will be fun and i will have a build thread forsure. just spent the day making a list of things i need for interior and exterior to make it look a purty. not to mention the 4 hours with a rug doctor cleaning the dirt out of it!

ive gotten alot of help on here over the years especially from GD who also told me all the ea82t are fi and i just picked up a 87 gl10 yesterday with all the options which is the start of my ej22t 5spd dr build! since turbos have been around since before computers im sure theres some carb'd turbos out there
